StormLuna

Princess Luna is the best princess and Nightmare Moon is the best queen.

In a nation full of fake news, you have to be careful who you trust. With us, you don't have to worry about that. Unlike ENC and ENN, we are reliable, unbiased and only report the truth.

Would Celestia have bothered ascending Starlight if the truth didn't come out? What's Starlight think of this?

9556299

She would have eventually, just not as soon as she did.

Sorry, I only rely on Pew News. It's actually the only reliable news Network to exist in the multiverse.

will there be a news report of some pony worshiping nightmare moon

9556462

At some point, yes there will be. Cults were always a fun part of the Weekly World News.

Praise nightmare! shall she bring thy eternal night!

Bit of a nitpick, but I don't think you have a proper understanding of golf. The lower the number, the better. You got the strokes being a bad thing right. That's the number of times your club hits the ball. But you're supposed to get under par. The lower the number the better. For example, a 3 par would mean you have 3 hits to get the ball into the hole, if you take more hits, your scores goes up, which is bad. The lower the score in golf, the better. 18s and 19s would actually be really shitty scores lol.

Unless I'm overthinking this and you're saying they all suck at golf, which would definitely be a correct statement.

9562391

Ok, I know the lowest score wins. When I watch ESPN, they will normally show both their score, like -4 along with their stroke count (70 for example). That is where I got that from.

I haven't gotten to this yet, but I recall buying Weekly World News at the local supermarket. Man I miss it. I hope this story encompasses everything that made WWN so enjoyable.

9562462

Oh it will, I plan on doing plenty more, including more obscure ones. I remember one that, on the cover, showcased a story about a chair that had killed everyone who sat in it....and I'm planning on bring in vampire ponies and so much more. I have three more chapters written so far, and I plan on doing plenty more.

9562520

I am happy to have made you happy. Whenever someone tells me that, I too am happy.

9562391

I altered the scores on the golf game to what they were over or under par.

I'm going to go on a limb and say that aliens, or anything, better not mess with Equestria. Princess Starlight doesn't play around!

9563993

Nope, if anything tries to mess with Equestria, Starlight will destroy them.

My dudes, why is it called weekly news if we're getting it daily?

I propose a slight name change.

9565824

It is a play on words, it is based off of The Weekly World News.

9566721

Perhaps I should start doing it weekly though so that my mind doesn't go dry on me before too long.

9573856

Yep, you did. I got the name from DOnald TruMP (Domp). I'm guessing the orange skin and ugly toupee gave it away as to who the alien was though, right?

9562391
I altered the scores to reflect over and under par rather than stroke count.

So instead of a system of lobbyists buying off elected politicians, the Princesses prefer a system with snobbish nobles like Blueblood passing laws without the consent or input of the people? Reminds me of Star Wars where the supporters of the Empire are quick to point out the Old Republic's flaws but overlook the flaws of the Empire that they champion.

Seriously though, it's heartwarming to see Starlight sticking up for her mother Celestia and her extremism doesn't surprise me given her short fuse and darker self.

I know that this a comedy but this chapter disturbed me since innocent pony kids were eaten and killed by parasprites, did you really have to make the parasprites become pony eating monsters?

9684122
In Celestia's Equestria, she is the one who sets the laws. The nobility is pretty much nothing more than rich ponies with absolutely no power over the government at all. I'm going to be honest, I don't know where you got the idea that the rich snobs would have any power over the government to begin with.

And regarding Starlight, of course she is going to support her mother. Family is very important to her.

9684125

I figured it would make it more fun if I transformed them into something truly dangerous.

Recently a sect of unicorns in a remote part of the Everfree Forest have been discovered that still practice the highly illegal religion. The unicorns were discovered by royal guards on a routine patrol not too far away from the Castle of the Two Sisters. When approached, the guard stated that the unicorns were very dark in color and had eyes that resembled Nightmare Moon's. The guards also stated that the unicorns were using magic on a sparkly purple blob of mist. While they couldn't be sure, they believe that perhaps it was a remnant of the villain that escaped lunar banishment and that they were trying to re-create Nightmare Moon.

Something tells me you’ve read a certain other fic, let me guess, the leader of this cult is named Spell Nexus? :duck:

9684730

Actually no, I haven't. I simply had someone mention a Nightmare Moon cult in a comment on this story and I decided to do this one.

9685006
Well that is extremely coincidental, since there’s another fic with pretty much exactly what you described:

https://www.fimfiction.net/story/41596/1/past-sins/prelude-resurrection

9684491
This is what they are in Fallout Equestria (ICR what they are called)

9556299
The story does sat that S.G. declined to comment
Who’s F.L.?

Other ponies right now are trying to reconcile the disagreement with Princess Twilight actually siding with Princess Luna on the freedom of religion issue while her student, Starlight Glimmer, is siding heavily with Princess Celestia. When questioned on her reasoning she stated, "Princess Celestia has been nothing ….(but)…. kind to this nation and these ponies are biting the hooves of the pony who has been our nation's rock. Such disloyalty needs to be punished."

Yes, it was Flash Sentry that Flurry attacked.
