This is a really cute story so far, even if I'll probably duck out on the next chapter. You should add it to this group I made...
Very cute and while on the faster side of pacing it still has enough detail to paint the mental image needed. I might not have the same headcannon of their size difference(I don't think the show makes Silverstream out to be larger in frame), but it is an interesting idea and creates a different dynamic. I hope this gets completed because the world needs more cute gryph stories, and it's worthy of the subject.

Thanks for the feedback! There's one frame where it looks like Silverstream is a bit bigger than Gallus (I think it's one of the big group shots), but most of the time they do look like the same size. I'm using a little creative license to fit in some raptor behaviour that just wouldn't make sense otherwise. Of course even with a size and mass difference of say 20% (in some raptors it's actually closer to a third difference!) Gallus would still be much more dangerous of the pair since his forelegs are so much thicker- given bird lower legs there are literally bone and tendons it translates to a lot of crushing power (I sorta see their differences as Silverstream more like a kite and Gallus a big buzzard or eagle). But even though he would win in a fight there's still an instinctive phycological fear there (because a big female gryphon would kick his ass and on some primitive, instinctive level he sees her as a female gryphon).
I'm also trying to get this across in a show, not tell way without having to duck into the character's thoughts to explain it. But I don't do a lot of writing so I'm not very good at getting it across.
Honestly I intended this to be a one chapter flick with a relatively short lead in but it sort of bloated a bit and my plan was pretty sketchy so I'm not surprised the pacing is really rough.

Apologies for the delay in getting the second chapter out guys. I work six days a week away from home and between all the site work, scrabbling around to buy food (because self catering is out this year, it seems), planning for the next day's work (which can change rapidly depending on the weather) etc I haven't had a lot of time to write. The second chapter is over a thousand words in at the moment though so it's getting there.

Well, to get technical a knot in this sense is a swelling in the base of the penis that has evolved to become stuck in a female during copulation to improve the chances of fertilisation, either by keeping semen from leaking out or to preclude competing males from copulating. Most commonly found in canids but a load of artists draw gryphons with them so I ran with it.
Knot play here means manipulating them in a way that nature didn't quite intend, but to be honest it's about as vanilla as you can get.

Yeah i64.tinypic.com/iveeqh.png this is from the Gallus X Silverstream group its a little out dated from the 5th of the month but the story has not been added yet and there is noooo way I'm doing it I don't want to be know as the guy who added it to such and untainted ship
