And to you, a fan of the beloved series and fandom you’ve been a part of for years, it was too much to bear. That’s it- It’s coming to an end. My Little Pony Generation Four is closing it’s curtains- It’s universe put to bed forever.
All has been lost. It’s done. It’s goodbye...
Or is it, though?
Commemoration for the 2nd saddest day of My Little Pony History. Generation Four will be missed when it’s over, you have my word.

EDIT: I take it back, the whole story speaks to me on a personal level. I joined the fandom like, 3-4 years ago, and it's ending already before I could get 100% settled.
You either die as a good series or you live long enough to see yourself become the Fairly Oddparents.
And I'm bawling again, just like when I first found out. The greatest cartoon characters of all time . . . I just hope the fics and the videos and the art never end.
You know, if the ponies were real, I truly believe they would be our friends. And no one wishes they were real more than I.

I mean, the fandom for the orginal Star Trek lived on well after the show ended in the 60s and lasted till Next Gen started in the 90s and i don't see G4 fandom ending just because the show does. grow smaller yes but its been doing that for a while now even with the show on the air, but it will never end.
Huh, so the Animaniacs method of cartoon death: once production of your show stops, you fade away as the fans forget.
Although, given the nature of the show in question here, I doubt anyone will ever forget. This show helped change the world on some levels; something like that just doesn't go away from the public consciousness. I suspect Twilight and crew have nothing to worry about for their particular future.
I think the fan reaction at the beginning is a bit of an exaggeration. Nice story, though. I like the pep talk to the characters.

Mirrors a lot of my own feelings. I came onboard with Equestria Girls, and it has been one hell of a ride these last 6 years. It has had its ups and downs, and a lot of editing terrible fanfiction!

Yes.
We will not let the flame die with the show. The creators may quit...
But there are people who will be able to tell the stories for years to come, perhaps even centuries. Yes, things end and begin as they always do, but they never truly end until the last person dies.

Welp, the show 'My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic' will forever be remembered as 2010s pop culture. Over the past few days, I have read fanfictions that took place 'after' the events of MLP or events about the end such as a tribute fanfiction, or a fanfiction that talks about the end. For what it's worth I'm making a story called Life After the Show which is going th opposite route. Where things keep going on. I'm personally having a really hard time with the show's ending but I'm doing my best to try and deal with it I suppose
