It has been 7 years since the events for the show and in that time, Spike has been living in the Dragonlands to be with his own kind. Now he has secretly moved back to Canterlot to find out what he wants to do with his life back in Equestria while privately living in Canterlot Castle. However, Rarity also lives in Canterlot now and secretly goes to the private section of the castle garden, doing nothing but drinking canned cider and bars of chocolate with a broken look on her face. The two have started to meet there regularly when it rains, but Spike wonders what could possibly have happened to the mare he loves to bring her to such a cold state.

Yea honestly I would love to see you try something that kinda falls int the vain of this but different.
The idea I have Rarity turn down Spike or never comment on his feelings as she moves to Canterlot and ends up getting married. It jumps a number of years and she is married still with a child. For her next work she has to work with this new jeweler and sculptor on some designs. To her shock it is a older and more mature Spike. As they work together after not seeing each other in years they reconnect and have fun like they haven't had in years. And feeling start to bloom once again between them. It than grows into desire. Which it finally burst into love and passion for one another, they know it is wrong, but they can't control how they feel. It is a story of true love that is also taboo. Two that can't keep away from one another and desire the other with their bodies and souls but know they shouldn't be together.

I enjoyed this tale of Spike and Rarity. Using the seven years helped both mature nicely. Both compelling and realist telling of the two. The story flowed well. Only a few minor typos, that didn't detract from the story. I look forward to some more romantic writing.

Read this at the recommendation of someone on this Discord server as their favorite Sparity fic, and I gotta, as long as I read everything in past tense in my head, I can see the appeal.
I like the components in play here, and with a little more experience in writing, I'd say this one might be worth revisiting to rewrite it. I will say good work, but stick to the past tense convention unless you're writing a visual novel.

Thank you. Perhaps once day I'll give this a good edit. It has been three years since I wrote it, and I've done much more writing since then with both My Little Pony and Pokemon fanfiction. This includes doing better at writing in part tense, and having a premium account on Grammarly to better perfect my grammar.
