The Blue EM2

Glad to be here at last.

Sequels1

T

This story is a sequel to Unstoppable

Not long after Christmas, Babs Seed goes on a trip to New Orleans with her schoolmates. But what should have been an ordinary trip goes a bit wrong...

Based on an actual trip I took to NOLA, with some silliness thrown in for good measure. Occurs concurrently with Unstoppable.

That evening, Babs took a shower so she didn’t need to the next morning. Sunflower hammered on the door.

“How long are ya gonna take?” she called.

“I’ve only been in here 2 minutes!” Babs shot back.

“Well, hurry up!”

Babs smirked. She began to sing, LOUDLY!

“Babs Seed, Babs Seed, what we gonna do?

Got a bully on our tail

Gotta hide, we gotta bail!”

“NO!” came the cry from Sunflower. “I’D ONLY JUST GOT THAT SONG OUT OF MY HEAD!”

Did you by any chance reference that from a comic that Uotapo did a while back? :3

Any of you ever been to NOLA?

Well.... I wanna go there one day, but only via Amtrak's Crescent from New York City down to New Orleans :3

Oh yes it is.

It is an amazing city.

You also get the award for first comment. And here I was, fearing the story would be forever lonely. Stay tuned for more tomorrow, you'll like what's coming up!

1. Noice :3 mine providing the link of that comic for me? X3

2. Got that right :3

Heh :yay:

You wouldn't mind posting about this story as a way of drumming up support?

9403713
Uotapo is such a Genius Artist though X3

9403739
Indeed. Their rendition of Babs Seed is what I used as the basis for my take on Babs.

9403746
Your welcome =3

Now if you excuse me for a little bit, I gotta watch some KYR SP33DY X3

9403749
Better than what was shown in the comic, methinks.

9403777
Seriously, it seems the comic writers only saw the first 15 minutes of One Bad Apple.

9403817
Glad to here it, as up goes the next one.

9404683
And I will start reading it in just a sec :raritywink:

and of course a multitude of steam engines, largely nondescript 2-8-0s that were ten-a-penny in the US.

You had me at Steam Locomotives though X3

9405104
Good. What did you think?

9405113
Very good. Please do stick around for the ride. You won't regret it.

9405113
Spot the reference to one of my older stories?

9405127
That's tomorrow morning, as I've stopped double-posting.

9405128
Good job. This takes place around the same time.

9405136
It led to endless confusion, as well as people not commenting. :fluttercry:

9405138
This setting is going some exciting places.

9405144
But shouldn't happen anymore.

May I ask why you wouldn't fly to NOLA?

9405171
But shoudln'ty happen anymore.

Tell me, why wouldn't you fly to NOLA?

9405241

Tell me, why wouldn't you fly to NOLA?

Well.... to be honest it would be good, but like you and me for examples, we like to stay on the ground and see the ever changing scenery go by from a Train, in this case riding on Amtrak's Crescent from New York City to New Orleans. Aka... you would go from The Big Apple (New York City) to The Big Easy (New Orleans) just like that :)

9405261
What is your local station?

9405310
Let's see.... the closest place Amtrak's Crescent will stop at for me is Greensboro, North Carolina.

9405316
Isn't it really slow? I'd once entertained the possibility of doing a trip by train in the Northwest, but gave up on it as the Amtrak trains run horribly late.
