Will this story have any sex scenes, implied or otherwise, where the woman does most or all of the work?

The staff is also pretty similar to Robin/Nightwing's. Since it has a number of functions and taking ideas and inspiration from other sources is always a big part of such super hero stories, I would suggest Nightwing's Escrima Sticks most notorious function, the built in tasers on the end of them. Strong enough to knock out a normal person with a quick touch, but against the more sturdy villains holding them against their skin and sending continues volts through them can be quite effective,(I'm apologize for this joke right now) shocking really.

I seriously enjoyed Spike getting those upgrades to be able to keep up with the power bimbos; I look forward to seeing more action with him, and the Robin staff was a nice touch. Are the "dogs" the diamond dogs and what did they do to Sunset?

Spike needs a superhero name and a legitimate love interest.

Don't worry, I intend to give Spike a proper super-suit in a future chapter. Though I'm still unsure what his superhero name should be. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm open to them. Dragon themed names are out for now. I'm playing a long game here. It'll make sense later.

Well the names have an old timey vibe so I would suggest his name be something like the green shade or the "insert costume or hair color here" assailant. If you wanted to give him a cheesy porno name you could call him the tool master.
