I gotta admit, it's interesting seeing a story from the Pinkie-spective. You have opened up a very interesting toy box by getting into that mare's mind, and I'm looking forward to seeing where it all goes!

This is a good story...but it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

Pinkie’s trying to raise fifty thousand bits for the Cakes...so she opens a competing business right across the street? Won’t Sugarcube Corner be losing business?

And how did Pinkie have inventory to sell right after opening her shop? And while we’re on the subject, how did she afford to build her shop, let alone afford the furniture and equipment? As I understand it, her two hundred bits only covered the cost of the permit for the shop, and nothing else.

Pinkie’s characterization is a bit over the top as well. She’s supposed to be bubbly and happy, but here she’s a bit manic, more so than usual.

I meant what I said about it being a good story, but those plotholes really stood out for me.

I understand she comes across as a bit over the top, but she was just trying to make sure that everything was perfect for the opening of her bakery. She opened it across the street for an important reason that will be made clearer later. As for where she got the ingredients? The Cakes gave her their excess stock since they won't be using it.

She's raising it for the Cakes because they cannot raise it themselves due to being slapped with the infraction. As to where she got the furniture? Its Pinkie; she works in mysterious ways.
