This has rather taken me by surprise. What do you mean?

that was CTS's assumtion. and she isn't easily influnce by otehrs. Twilight she trsuts and that fact she is quite angry at the sisters shows it more. I think Dawn will be leaving with CTS more after that bad mistake by them.

Even with that being the case Dawn was taught a spell that effectively leaves open a back door to her mind as Chryssie has displayed. And given that the changelings are still recognized as a threat that would not be overlooked. Also the Commander in previous stories would point out that even if she wasn't a designated survivor should things take a turn for the worst at such an event she would be one simply by effect. In a few of the earlier chapters Dawn reacted to dialogue from Twilight in a manner that made her more receptive to suggestions from her and while some of that may play up to the submissive bit the way it happened did not and it doesn't seem like something the commander would ignore with her study into psychology.

So your perspective is interesting, but the spell? It really is just a telephone spell. It has no hypnotic power and dawn is simply very trusting and open overall. She never had met a changeling other than nymph, so no one knew that backdoor existed (and its not been determined if that will remain or is simply a quirk of dawn due to her upbringing and the like.)
I know dawn was created at first to be an idealized version of who i wanted to be (and grew from there) but she is guilty of being very easily excited and swept up in things, even though she is capable of being impartial after when told to sit down, calm down, and evaluate. Either way, i will have to think on what you said, especially since dawn could now influence celestia with the spell~

Twilight has said as much when she learned about this, however she is effectivly in this nation as a guest and the nation has not done anything hostile and rather then risk pissing off the locals and making enemies when she needs allies, she is being diplomatic and a Princess in this regard as at best she can suggest and thats only if it becomes an actual issue or she is pushed to it.
As for the suggestion thing, knowing about psychology and knowing about hypnotism are differnt things, they live in a world where mind controls spells are a thing so brining some one to a suggestable state with jsut words and the like isnt exactly something that will be considered easily when you have a spell hat can do it at the snap of the fingers so the concept is foriegn to Twilight and she didnt evenr elaize she was doing it for the first few times.
After that Dawn pretty much said it was okaya nd she enjoyed it and Chryalis slowly pushing Twilight into her desire for control (something Twilight desires very much) slowly resulted in....well..Twilight taking control since Dawn consented to it.

One of my main points is that Chryssie used that spell as an access point for a changeling link to deeper parts of Dawn's mind and memory. Considering the time that world's Chrysalis spent as Cadence it's very likely she was exposed to it meaning she's aware of it. Now since it's referred to as a telephone spell I'll refer to changelings as a local provider who invented the concept and know more about it meaning if they want to tap it they can and will, possibly even at greater distances not even taking into consideration networking. I would expect the Commander to not only point this out but suggest countermeasures or a rework of the spell. Especially as it could represent a threat to her family as Dawn knows of them and would be probably be considered the easiest target of the alicorn's. And that's not taking into consideration the possibility of rogue unicorns(who are the common powerful villain in Equestria) who might rework and alter it to do so like a certain unicorn CTS despises *cough* Starlight *cough* Glimmer did with Starswirls spell. I hope this elaborates what I meant and why it seems strange to me for the Commander after seeing all the precautions she normally takes.
..*sighs*I hate mind magic...

"I'll refer to changelings as a local provider who invented the concept "
Forgive me, but you are adding things and complicating it where it does not exist. Changelings have a hive mind, which in my eyes is more akin to multiple computers on a lan party and is different from phone like behavior.
A telephone, were talking just copper here, normally only sends and recieves sound. I am customer support for a carrier at this moment and have worked for another, so i get what youre trying to do, but you are adding elements that are not present. Now yes, the spell could be changed, but thats a story for another time, because the spell described only allows directed 'speech thought' to the other person and back. Otherwise dawn would have connected to stalwart by now.

I'm not adding elements I'm using only what was provided to us in the story not what has been said in the comment to come to logical conclusions. In the earlier chapters Chryssie went into Dawn's memories by linking in through that spell. That implies that other changelings can as well specifically that worlds Chrysalis. Given the amount of information available at that point in the story there is no reason to think otherwise as no information to counter that is provided. It's something that could be clarified if stated in the story. What I brought up would be considered a possibility for those reasons. If you sit back and look at at it objectively with only the information that's given to the readers at that point. I'm not arguing what your world is like I'm arguing how something appears to someone who doesn't know the in's and outs of the world. CTS simply asking about it would settle it, maybe that's a scene that's supposed to be there but not or maybe you simply thought it was obvious. Outside of what's written in the story I know how you intend it because you have told us but in what is actually written that isn't provived.
TLDR: By what's written in the story it's an easy conclusion to come to with nothing given to counter it. Reread the first five chapters and remember that nowhere there does it say or provide any information to counter it after what Chryssie did and anything said by your character Dawn regarding it can be questioned as she seems to not be aware of a lot of things due to others negligence.
damn the author just cock-blocked CTS
A pickup line so bad it killed a magical boner.
