...Ok, in my opinion, this just doesn't work. This is not a visual medium, the best way to make a transformation sequence is to make it not too flashy and to make it feel like it doesn't take you out of the action. Aka, no describing of backgrounds and usage of simple stuff like light or other natural phenomena like tornados, or even something like a holographic image covering the rangers.

Yeah, I didn't really plan out some of this stuff, I just wrote what came at the top of my head. As for the Sunburst not letting them tell their families or friends, if they did tell them, their lives might be put in danger. As for not letting them tell their sisters, do you really think Rarity and Rainbow Dash would be ok with be ok with their little sisters putting their lives at risk doing something this dangerous?
Also, do you have any ideas for a monster that the rangers can fight?

Their lives are already in danger if they tell them or not doesn't make a difference either way.
And you think that Sunburst could keep that secret for any significant time, first he is a doormat, second the girls aren't stupid, they know of the gems, they can put two and two together. It won't take 24 hours till they are going to start asking uncomfortable questions. Keeping that a secret is a pipe dream if I ever saw one.

Right. I guess I see your point. I mean, I was going to have them know eventually anyway, but not for a while. And don't worry, I plan to have Sunburst explain how he created the zords in the next chapter.
And the morphing sequence wasn't that bad, the disney era ranger morphing sequences (Wild Force to RPM) had backgrounds to them.

There is just a big difference between a visual medium like a TV-series and a fanfiction. What works in one does not work in the other, like describing a camera shoot. Something like this just doesn't work here.
