Some Pokemon are happy, unfortunately Charizard has some difficulty in adapting to this new environment. We are told that Charizard is a Pokemon who loves fighting and always looking for a fight worthy of him. But in Pallet Town he doesn't have much Pokemon to which he can be measured (except perhaps Sceptile, Snorlax and Infernape). In short, the place is limited for him.
