Hmmm... I actually didn't mind the dark turn this fic took, but I think it could have been more powerful if there was a little bit more leading up to the sudden darkness. Like you have these lovely couple of scenes of some interactions between Twilight, Rarity, and Spike which are mostly fun and kind of comedic, and then the whole, "Rarity killed your pets and turned them into dresses" just kind of... happens out of nowhere? I don't think there's anything wrong at all with what you have written, I just find myself wanting more before the reveal. I still gave it a like though because I thought your dialogue was really nice and I like the idea!

I get what you mean about the lack of buildup. I probably could have had a few more scenes in between the castle scene and the second boutique scene with input from the others, but I think it was really more a case of me generally not actually being a fan of dark fics myself. I just wanted to push the word count as much as I needed to and then just kind of be done with it.
