December

~ Dec 1 ~

Cat stares intently
At this one board in the floor
Clumps of snow fall down

~ Dec 2 ~

Cicada larvae
Tunnels far below the frost
Not ready to sing?

~ Dec 3 ~

Fixing a snow cloud
In between her winter naps.
Always in a rush.

~ Dec 4 ~

Snow-covered treetops
The rustling and gossiping
Of a hundred crows

~ Dec 5 ~

Pinkie's brand new
Coconut hot cocoa!
Absorbed by her scarf

~ Dec 6 ~

Rodent nibble marks
At the bottom of the trunk.
Endless winter skies.

~ Dec 7 ~

Withering branches
Clattering past hooves and teeth...
Too stubborn to fall

~ Dec 8 ~

Numbing chilly air.
Applebloom wraps bandages
On Scootaloo's knees.

~ Dec 9 ~

Granny Smith mumbling,
Wrinkles covered in white paint
Glaring winter sun

~ Dec 10 ~

Sweet apple acres...
How do you find the borders
When the fruits are gone?

~ Dec 11 ~

Hopping chickadees,
The big stallion of few words
Fixes a fence beam

~ Dec 12 ~

A filly's first shoes:
Old Hearth's Warming gift she keeps
But can't remember

~ Dec 13 ~

Rattling northern wind,
Saplings have to grow up strong
Hugged by wooden stakes

~ Dec 14 ~

The scent of old straw
Drying in the charcoal's glow
She quietly waits...

~ Dec 15 ~

Slice of apple tart
Warmed by a glowing sunbeam.
Window frosted shut

~ Dec 16 ~

Restless young fieldmouse
Not needed in the orchards,
Go hibernate more

~ Dec 17 ~

A soft shell of snow
Hides away Equestria.
Blue and green blankets

~ Dec 18 ~

~ Dec 19 ~

Tired bunny
Between the cold floor
And winter sun

~ Dec 20 ~

Book finished:
To Be Continued
Early sunset

~ Dec 21 ~

Somewhere in the snow,
Miss squirrel's forgotten seeds.
Completely useless.

~ Dec 22 ~

~ Dec 23 ~

~ Dec 24 ~

Paperwork prison,
Even the mayor waits for
The end of the year

~ Dec 25 ~

Hearth's Warming carols
Where nopony else can hear:
Drowned out by the crowd.

~ Dec 26 ~

~ Dec 27 ~

~ Dec 28 ~

~ Dec 29 ~

~ Dec 30 ~

~ Dec 31 ~

Pinkie stretching out
In a field of withered grass.
Warm tea and cupcakes.

Lovely update.

The blank ones are rather unsettling.

Always have love for this.

This. This is some beautiful stuff. Some lovely stuff. Simple and incredibly meaningful.

Maybe I'm blind, but where's the Flarity?
