Lance Higbee is just a typical card shop clerk who teaches kids how to play Duel Monsters. However, by night he also steals cards from the local corrupt police force under the guise of the Red Rocket, and then sells them at the shop with his two best friends. One night, during an otherwise normal run to the shop's "supplier", a portal unexpectedly transports him to the magical land of Equestria. Among all of this, supposedly dead Duelists begin to show up in Equestria and wreck havoc on the unprepared masses, for which Lance is the only answer they have to the threat.
Set during a non-descript time in the middle of Season 8 Pony side and 70 years after the end of 5D's Yugioh side, the in-universe card pool is roughly as big as the current TCG/OCG cardpool, and some plot relevant decks are mass produced in universe

As a reader, it's a great story, but the use of certain cards (aka pot of greed, graceful charity) doesn't have to be repeated, in my opinion it makes the paragraph of each card look weird. But this is just a minor nitpick on my end you don't have to change it.
As an duelist. If you'll permit me, I would love to play with you some times or even collab a story, yugioh/mlp crossovers are my favorite and I would love to make something amazing with you.

Decided to start reading this fic.
It has a interesting premise(and the fact I love YGO stuff).
Though.. really hated how it start off with Luna losing badly in a duel and is show to be ultimately a failure..
It continues the issue in the show where if a royal sister gets involved, they get taken out and look like a huge failure.
It hurts alot more for Luna's case due to her track record looks worse(due to losing a 1000 years), like her returning from the moon only to fail and fail and FAIL again.
I wonder if Spike will get to duel too? Or is he sadly excluded..?
It was nice that Princess Luna gets to duel but its really disappointing she loses and such a huge failure here..

When the other girls saying they are unable to hold the cards(while Rarity just wanted to watch the duels), what about Spike? He has claws, fingers. He can clearly duel.
Honestly.. while it hurts that Luna lost her duel to Red, its even worse with how Twilight manages to beat him literally the next chapter.
It just makes Luna even more of a failure that while she loses, Twilght freaking wins. It felt like Luna got screwed to make Twilight look good(just like many times in the show..)

The duel was pretty nice.
Though I disliked the bit of Spike not understanding about card advantage when Graceful Charity was used, it makes him look like an idiot.
He's smarter than he looks. He has to since he's Twilight's number 1 assistant, having to understand stuff.

Though a missed oppertunity with Luna. Like when she is question about the 3 Upstart Goblins and Red saying he already told her that LP is meaningless and such. You could have had her tell him something afterwards like "This is why I was questioning that move. He could have finished you off but instead used those draw cards. It backfired on him by a misplay", showing she understands the game alot.
Well that's a pretty crazy duel.
Though didn't like the bit of even Luna was intimidated by Topologic Bomber Dragon.
Not only it makes her look weak(she's a freaking alicorn) but it doesn't make sense since she witnessed alot of messed up stuff in ponies' dreams such as dangerous monsters, she shouldn't be intimidated that easily.
I really REALLY hope Spike and Luna don't end up losing and being carded there..
So Discord and Twilight are able to beat Red on their very first duels ever but Luna can't?
I feel like this added salt to Luna's wounds there..

Honstly this was a pretty good fanfic.
And the Red Eyes fusion was epic.
But..
I really didn't like how Spike and Luna got taken out off screen like fodder like that and the fact they've been card and humiliated badly by being used in the duel like puppets(with Luna being destroyed a bunch). And the fact neither of them had any clue on whats happening made the humiliation even worse..
And the fact Luna looks like even more of a huge failure due to being taken out like that..(and the fact she pretty much lost 2 freaking duels).
It also hurts that Spike didn't get to properly duel while the mane 6 did, what's worse his very first duel was just him being taken out off-screen like fodder..
Really sorry if my comments are really bothersome but.. I really want to let that off of my chest..
