I love the view this paints... so far there's too many questions to really comment and ask 'what's going on?' because we aren't there yet. But the view is fascinating. See ya in the next chapter.
Well that was hilarious, adorable, and at times confusing. Definitely a Pinkie story.
Again I find myself enjoying imagery... all the more now as it builds into an interestingly different Equestria. Most of the time when I see an AU with the tribes separate, it's not going well. These two seem cautious but fair, and I can get behind that.
AU, indeed, if she's in charge here. That was a surprise... in fact, I was expecting Surprise, but this is better.
"...In a game of Old Mare! ...Take up your cards, groundwalker, and prepare for humiliation! ...After that there's punch n pie."
Well now... I was right about the pie in that last comment. And I'm enjoying the confidence and calm we see in the leader here. Protecting her people without arrogance to cloud her judgment is not an easy thing for far too many leaders to manage.
Short and sweet, this is a vivid and entertaining AU. Pinkie's characterization as the enthusiastic explorer plays out really well, and you realize that if you want to travel with somepony who's just plain going to enjoy the vistas along the way, she's a wonderful choice.

This was really fun to read! Just enough length to have a few moments of surprise, without dragging on too much. And it's always a pleasure to read a well written pinkie pov. :3
