This was a really good one. Evening projecting on Spike, yes, but not without cause? It's very believable and very human, and gives an urgency to this conversation that's just a delight to read.

Spike having to communicate this to a child is Big, no matter how content he might be, and you did it well for a story of such short length too!
The comments about him not being broken are great too, since not all dragons have wings, and not every 'problem' can be 'fixed'.
Spike's a good uncle.
