There are many stories of the slightly more neurotic male counterpart of Twilight Sparkle. Through these mostly standalone oneshots, we discover many romances he has had in the multiverse.

Cover is Dusk Shine by BitsAndBees on deviantart, used with permission.

alright that was Funny, you got me, now to wait for more cheers.

I really liked this one shot and now looking forward to seeing more.

REALLY good job on this first chapter of your new story. Love the work that went into the characterizations of both Sunset AND Dusk as well as the details of their evolving relationship.

I'm guessing the next one is probably going to be Moondancer and then, after that, Trixie and then each of the rest of the Mane Six one-by-one and POSSIBLY Luna.

And maybe there could be some bonus chapters depicting Spike with each of the Cutie Mark Crusaders one by one, Ember, Smolder and Gabby (Spike deserves some love too after all).

But, I will admit these are just guesses and are just as likely to be wrong as right.

But anyway, I'm definitely going to be looking forward to more of this (as well as more of your "Sonic in the Equestria Girls" universe story series)

Sorry no luck on spike as I don’t actually care much for his stories

10164298
Fair enough. I just appreciate the verification.

Great job on this latest chapter. Love the humor in this exchange. Yeah, One of the downsides to Luna's "dream-walking ability". And she accused Dusk of cheating on her with - well, her. At least Luna realized her mistake after the explanation and I DID get a good laugh out of Shining and Cadance's confusion.

Maybe the next chapter could have Dusk actually attending Moondancer's party, if only to at least explain in person that Celestia is ordering him to go to Ponyville. Moondancer agrees to go to Ponyville with him. From there, their friendship gradually develops over a period of years into a much deeper relationship.

Another chapter could be Dusk and Trixie meeting each other at Celestia's School For Gifted Unicorns, with Dusk helping Trixie out in the areas in the School that she is having the most trouble with, so she can stay in long enough to graduate. Trixie helps Dusk learn to loosen up SLIGHTLY (to the point of Dusk being Trixie's assistant in a few of her magic shows [including her first magic show in Ponyville]) and Dusk helping Trixie learn to tone down the ego JUST ENOUGH to ONLY make boasts she can actually back up (though, by then, she HAS learned how to genuinely do some pretty respectable stuff). This leads to an alternate version of Boast Busters where Dusk actually vouches for Trixie at her magic show (I.e. "She's actually a pretty decent mare once you learn to look past the ego") and, as aforementioned, agreeing to assist Trixie with her magic show. Things end up developing from there.

Still another one showing bits and pieces of Dusk and Rarity at different points in their relationship (first with Dusk actually warning Rarity about Blueblood during the "Gala Tickets" deal (i.e. "I've been Celestia's personal student for twelve years. Over that time, I've come to know Blueblood JUST well enough to wish I DIDN'T."), then Rarity making Dusk a great suit for the Gala (she listened to him about Blueblood, but still wants to go half as Dusk's date and half because of all the potential business contacts she could make), then Rarity not only making Dusk a another nice suit for his birthday, but also teaching him how to dance before she heads off to Canterlot, then Rarity staying behind to comfort Dusk during his brother's wedding to what they think at the time is Cadance, then shortly after Dusk has become an alicorn, their wedding day on the last Summer Sun Celebration before Celestia and Luna retire and finally, as co-rulers of Equestria twenty years in the future.

And maybe ANOTHER one with Sunset, but this one with HUMAN Dusk (this one would be a bonus chapter).

And I will let you know when I think of other stuff. And will respect if you don't really like these ideas.

You're quite welcome.

The colt was always like a brother to her and she was now her brother in law; makes it even funnier with him going out with her honorary Aunt Luna.

She should be he

10165920
You're very welcome.

If you do a Chrysalis chapter, could you please include Fluffle Puff in it?

Tempest Shadow
Rule 63 Flash Sentry... so... Bright Centerion? I'm not sure on that.
What about cross species? Gilda? Ember? Sirens? Queen Nova or Skystar?

10173903
I think the typical Rule 63 name for Gender flipped Flash Sentry is Flare Warden, but Bright Centurion could work too.

And, anyway, other blacklisted ones:

Gleaming Shield (rule 63 Shining Armor): She's Dusk's SISTER. This one should NOT need to be explained.

Any of the Cutie Mark Crusaders: Too young. Enough said.

Barb (rule 63 Spike): Blacklist reason is an equal combination of the reasons for Gleaming Shield AND the reason for Any of the Cutie Mark Crusaders.

Luster Dawn: Dusk would, at best, be a father figure to her. (so this would be a like a reverse reason for the reason for the Celestia backlist)

Well, all I can say is great job on this latest chapter. And, yeah, the reason Dusk and Sugarcoat ended up dating in this universe makes sense.

And, yeah, I can understand the reason behind the blacklists.

Anyway, here are a few more possibilities for future chapters:

Princess Cadance: If we are talking about a universe where Dusk and Shining Armor are age-switched (meaning Dusk is the older brother) and Cadance ended up with Dusk instead of Shining Armor (Shining, instead, ends up with your choice of one of the Mane Six).

Queen Chrysalis: If we are talking about a universe where Chrysalis got a MAJOR case of Adaptational Heroism (i.e. enough to genuinely care about her subjects and to reach out to Equestria through diplomacy). Dusk and this actually benevolent Chrysalis could meet during a diplomatic function and things develop from there.

As was aforementioned, Flare Warden (rule 63 Flash Sentry)

Princess Bluebelle (rule 63 Prince Blueblood; in a universe where he/she is NOT a total jerk)

10173946
Definitively agree on your ideas for the blacklist

Will we see the other shadowbolts with dusk?

Dusk interacting with Sunset was pretty cute here. He comes off as a lovable dork.

The problem seemed to be easily solved here. Honestly I kinda wish we saw how Dusk and Luna became a couple, or saw them on one of their dream dates.

It was a surprise for Sugarcoat to have a chapter but still nice.

I'd like to see some redeemed-antagonist love-interest chapters. I think some fun ones would include some role play that their friends accidentally walk in on.
Ex: Tempest Shadow has Dusk as a 'prisoner', which she going to take advantage of. Just as it get to the steamy parts, Spike walks in to talk with Dusk about something. A bit of awkward silence passes by for a few minutes and Spike says he forgot something important, like to organize the library again.

Thanks very much for getting this next chapter up AND for liking my ideas enough to include a modified version of it. Both are really appreciated. Once again, the characterizations are well done.

And, yeah, a universe where Dusk was the older brother and Shining was the younger brother would definitely make the Dusk/Cadance relationship idea work (with Shining and Spike both mentioned in passing as being paired with your choice of one of the Mane Six [Spike is actually a year older than Shining because Dusk's entrance exam took place years sooner than in canon]). The rest of the Mane Six knew about Dusk and Cadance's relationship almost a year before the wedding because Cadance accompanied Dusk and Spike to that first Summer Sun Celebration and Dusk proposed to Cadance just a couple of hours after Nightmare Moon's defeat. The rest of the Mane Six met Shining at the Grand Galloping Gala since Shining was assigned to Gala security as his first assignment after graduating from the Royal Guard Academy. Shining was also in charge of security at Dusk and Cadance's wedding with Spike as "best drake". All of this is mentioned in passing because the story actually takes place in the Crystal Empire as the gang gathers for the birth of Flurry Heart (similar to canon, except that Dusk is the father in this universe and the gang is not shocked to see Flurry Heart being an alicorn (after all, both of her parents are alicorns in this universe, so it would be MORE shocking if Flurry WASN'T an alicorn).

If you DO include a story with Chrysalis with a MAJOR case of Adaptational Heroism as Dusk's love interest (with Chrysalis legitimately reaching out diplomatically to help her hive and Dusk and Chrysalis meeting and gradually falling in love during diplomatic functions [this serving as relationship backstory]), the story could take place at a double wedding (with the grooms Dusk and Shining Armor and the brides Chrysalis and Cadance).

But, no matter which you choose next, I'll definitely be looking forward to more of this multiverse.

I'd say let the girls fight it out for Dusk's love and whoever is the last mare standing becomes his official marefriend.

10226786
Well, each of these stories is set in a different alternate universe, so each universe would have a different winner. :-D

This was pretty good. I thought it was funny how the two of them didn’t know that Shining and Cadance used their magic to push them into their first kiss.

10227022
They didn’t
Cadence wanted to but shining stopped her

REALLY good job on the exchanges, characterizations and wrap-up in this chapter. Yeah, REALLY enjoyed the interactions between Dusk and Juniper here (and particularly the jealousy mention when Flare was brought up; good thing Timber wasn't gender-flipped here too [:-D]). And, yeah, it IS a good thing Juniper is FAR less spiteful and egotistical in THIS universe.

As for the other stuff, I'll keep thinking.

plus any other ideas for chapters as well? I am welcome to trying characters I have already done a chapter for.

Dusk shine and Autumn Blaze the kirin.

Or Dusk and Gilda

The Monk

Do you think that you can also give me to ideas as well please

I feel silly for asking, but what about Dusk and Ember? Or Dusk and Moondancer?

10485770
I want to do moondancer but stock on ideas for her

10486010
Could always try having her let it slip during her rant to him in Amending Fences.

Also, another idea: Dusk and Applejack.

10486026
Thanks and I am not sure about plots about applejack either

10486026
Any help is appreciated please and thanks

10486050
Well... what if Dusk helped Applejack in secret during Applebuck Season, and she caught him? Something similar?

Hey there. Thanks immensely for getting this next chapter up. I really appreciate you going to the effort. Love the work that went into the characterizations and general wrap-up.

Definitely looking forward to more of this.

10486071

10486094
Yeah. That DOES sound like a great START to the relationship (and can be mentioned in a flashback). Here's another possible bit to add to that:

Dusk is helping Applejack practice for her latest rodeo (particularly the "roping and riding" portions), with both of them reflecting on how their relationship started. Of course, to keep this Teen rated, Spike and Apple Bloom accidentally interrupt them BEFORE they get to the "fun" part.

Plus some stuff for Chrysalis (naturally with a MAJOR degree of Adaptational Heroism in order for the relationship to work): The two first meet at a diplomatic function (this being a universe where Chrysalis was smart enough to know she can get a lot more love [and thus, a lot more long-term strength] from diplomacy and enough heart to actually care about the other Changelings) a little after Dusk's eighteenth birthday, but two years BEFORE he moved to Ponyville. The two have a series of chats with Dusk showing a real interest in Changeling culture. Chrysalis, is of course, pleasantly surprised by Dusk as he is one of the few young adult stallions who showed an interest in Changelings BEYOND their - bedroom potential (mind you, Dusk was interested in THAT too, but NOT JUST in that AND also had a good enough upbringing to wait until marriage). Anyway, the two became good friends and eventually much more than that. It reached the point where Dusk proposed to Chrysalis at the Grand Galloping Gala. This one-shot ends at a double wedding with Dusk and Shining Armor as the grooms and Chrysalis and Cadance as the brides.

For Princess Bluebelle (Rule 63 Prince Blueblood), the two have simply known each other for a bit over twelve years (ever since Dusk became Celestia's personal student) and, over that time, Dusk has come to notice that, while Bluebelle DOES use a "huge jerk" persona to discourage fortune hunters she DOES have a deep and genuine love for her family and a real respect for anybody who has earned that respect. Dusk, of course, ended up being one of the very few ponies who HAS earned that respect. In fact, over the course of twelve years, Dusk and Bluebelle ended up getting a lot closer than either of them planned on. It's pretty easy to guess the rest.

For Flare Warden, the two first met at Dusk's coronation (shortly after he became an alicorn) when Celestia (at Cadance's insistence) assigned her to be Dusk's bodyguard as her first assignment after finishing the royal guard academy. The two become pretty good friends reasonably quickly, but gradually get even closer over a period of years.
