Pony fan inspired by great writers such as Pen Stroke and Conner Cogwork

Years have passed since Twilight Sparkle accidentally took the Mane Six to a parallel gender-swapped world and the friends all believe it’s high time they met up again. But when they do, something goes horribly wrong and Rainbow and Blitz go missing.

Could it be that the two hot-shot display flyers still can’t bury their differences, or is something more sinister afoot?

For background into the characters that appear in the following story, I recommend the reader to the excellent On a Cross and Arrow by Conner Cogwork.
Please note this short story is not a sequel, but a spin-off using these characters.

A fan-sequel of "On a Cross and Arrow"? Interesting

This isn't an official sequel to Conner Cogwork's masterpiece; that privilege belongs to his "On a Whisper of Wind".
However, C&A is so good that it inspired me to writing this short story using the excellent characters he created.

Oh right, there is actually an 'official' sequel. It's been so long since it last updated I almost forgot about it.

Conner's writing is brilliant, but sadly as you say he hasn't developed it since 2015 which is a real shame.
Like you, I really look forward to his completing it.

Might want to put a link to the original story in your description, so people can read it if they haven't yet.

Thank you - a good observation. I have put a link on the front page as you suggest.

I love that part where they meet again, great story so far. :pinkiehappy:

I'm glad you like it. Conner Cogwork's original "On a Cross and Arrow" is one of my all time favorite stories and I am very happy that you think I have been true to his characters.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!

Spines has met twi before.

I'm surprised no one has left a review for this, I'm looking forward to how things will progress.

Thank you for your kind words.
On a Cross and Arrow is one of my all time favorites - Conner Cogwork is a brilliant writer.
I hope you continue to enjoy the story as it develops!

You're very welcome, it's one of my very favorite stories as I really enjoy the story plot and the Maine 6 interacting with their male counterparts. It's very hard to choose which one I like as they're all very good, especially Pinkie Pie and Bubble Berry spreading chaos and insanity wherever they went. :rainbowlaugh:

You've got good taste!
I like the way Conner has accentuated the characteristics of the Mane 6 in developing their male counterparts, and while they're all brilliant, I guess I like the interplay between Rarity and Elusive the best!

Thanks, oh yes the interplay between Rarity and Elusive is very well done especially when they say their blessings to Solaris and Celestia. lol

Great job on the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up in all the right places. I've read the TV Tropes page on the original story and have to admit to being intrigued.

Of course, one has to wonder if Discord would be jealous of Butterscotch and Eris would be jealous of Fluttershy. And, of course, Dusk gaining further experience with other universes from his dealings with Sunset Shimmer's counterpart.

But, anyway, on to the next chapter.

Love the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up. The reflections on both sides was quite well done and I DID enjoy seeing Rainbow Dash cheering Twilight up with the image of some of their worse enemies in the role of Friendship Princess.

On to the next chapter.

Once more, some wonderful stuff in the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up especially loved Dusk and Twilight's "sibling reunion" and Celestia swearing Twilight to absolute secrecy.

On to the next chapter.

Once again, the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up are superbly done. I especially enjoyed the point-out of the REASONS for the group to be on their best behavior (i.e. the potential for many more visits if this goes well).

On to the next chapter.

Again, great job on this chapter. With the exchanges, characterizations and future chapter set-up so well done, I can't help but keep enjoying the story. I especially loved Solaris's gift to Artemis to both thank him for holding down the fort AND keep him from getting bored.

On to the next chapter.

Whoa. I'm glad the two Rainbows managed to make it through that hydra attack (though, admittedly, badly injured). Great way to escalate things without going too far.

The exchanges, characterizations, action (during the rescue) and future chapter set-up were, of course, quite well done.

On to the next chapter.

Great recap on the hydra invasion as well as set-up for the climax.

The exchanges, characterizations and final chapter set-up are all quite well done.

On to the last chapter.

Darn good job on the exchanges, characterizations, action and wrap-up in all the right places.

I particularly liked the teamwork that went into taking down the hydras. And, yeah, one has to wonder how hard it's going to be for Twilight and Dusk to arrange future meetings once they are the main rulers of their respective Equestrias.

Well done on this story all around.
