Eh, I was expecting something more profound and interesting at the end. I'd speculate this is a troll fic just from the complete change in atmosphere and tone in the last few lines.
938840 Actually, I can see why you didn't find it funny. I thought it was more sweet than funny. I mean, it made me smile, and it was funny, but you don't even have to take it as a comedic twist. It's actually rather bittersweet when you think about it.
A very enjoyable read.

Also with deeper story before that last bit, make us think; Earth will always go on after humans is gone.
