"Meet me where the snowmelt flows
It is there, my dear, where we'll begin again"

Six moments in the lives of six ponies, forming a window into days gone by.

A nostalgic throwback, and a tribute to the show as it was when I fell in love with it.

Dunno about “season one feels”, but it certainly put a smile on my face. That was lovely.

I feel like it could take place at any time, not just when they're living in the library, but I love that it is the library and it is such a nice story.

The dramatic irony is thick enough to cut with a chainsaw and sappy enough to gum up the works. A lovely bit of looking back by looking forward, or possibly the other way around. I look forward to seeing the other vignettes in this collection.

from pale to vivid, and gradually built into a palette's worth of yellow and red, spreading like a bruise into the sky.

What a description.

It did feel fairly season one, though obviously a lot more... emotionally complex, let's say, than anything the show was handling at the time. I really liked the character insight, though. Homesickness for Canterlot. Not something I ever really thought about, but it feels like an entirely natural angle to explore with these characters, and in retrospect, I'm surprised I haven't seen this done before. You really need to go back to this sometime. I want to see more of these.

All that said, you are still you, and thus this story is automatically terrible. 0/10.

I look forward to the next segment.
