This is an interesting idea. While I won't offer world specific suggestions I would suggest Spike wind up in a world where dragons or strange creatures already exist.
If you place him in a world like Mirrors Edge you are going to have people constantly being astonished at the existence of a small purple dragon.

Because of the sheer length of this I might not get around to finishing it for a while.
Although I was considering making a side story(s) which use the same set up but have Spike end up somewhere completely different. The one I keep thinking I should do is Monster Musume, a lighthearted harem anime that would really contrast with the darker, action packed tone of Tomb Raider.
