Sunburst the Protector

Once, I had some resentment for you when I saw the friend you left.
Once, I disliked you for leaving Starlight’s heart cleft.
But then I saw you make her smile
I knew you were a friend worthwhile.
When Starlight confessed her wrongs, you didn’t condemn
When the Crystal Empire needed help, you solved the mayhem.
Your knowledge the Crystal Empire saved from the storm
Not through might or magic but the act of inform.
Flurry Heart has a new guardian, mentor, and friend in you
Those who earn Shining Armor and Cadence’s trust are few.
But most of all, you helped Starlight make peace with her past.
For my dear friend Starlight, there is nothing more I could ask.
Keep being her friend and Flurry Heart’s sweet nectar.
For you are the Crystal Empire’s mighty protector.
