This story is a sequel to The Thousand Year Change
Because of a spell cast by Twilight she and her friends saw what Equestria would be like if Luna had ponies who looked up to her. In that world Color Scheme, Rainbow Dash's cousin, a comic book artist and writer living in Equestria who has to use a middlepony in order to make a living because she's a bat pony.
But, what would her life be like in the normal universe we see in the show? Would she still face hatred for something she had no control over? Or...would she have other challenges?

Well, not exactly what I was expecting (Thought there would be inter-dimensional shenanigans), but great nonetheless.
You may want to change the front page notes, it's not really a sequel per se, as that implies a story after the current Thousand Year Change story. This is more of a side-story related to a character within Thousand Year Change. Perhaps change it to "This story is a side-story to The Thousand Year Change." Or something.

I admit, this wasn't the story I expected coming into this, but you kept me up for half an hour to read it anyway
It was pretty awesome. A real world issue presented in a brilliant short story. Nice to see Color not only shining, but also getting the support she needed and was too afraid to find.

Which makes me wonder if magic guns are treated differently than regular guns.

With the way the pink crystal was explained in the main story i am trying to see it as a holodeck in a startrek episode; everyone was a construct except for the mane 6. Is less depressing to me that way.
This was really great. Do you have plans to do more side stories with the characters from the Thousand Year Change into the canon-verse?
