The locale and idea for this story could have been very different. I really wanted to send Fluttershy (my favorite pony) to a haunted location, and the locations I had in mind were Big Boo's Haunt from Mario 64, the Sunken Ghost Ship from Mario World, Lavender Town from the Kanto region Pokemon Games (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, FireRed, and LeafGreen Versions), Luigi's Mansion, and Freddy Fazbear's Pizza from Five Nights at Freddy's. I eventually chose Luigi's Mansion, because Luigi's personality happens to be very similar to Flutters, and he also happens to be my favorite video game character, so the idea of pairing the two of them up was perfect!
Potential Story Ideas Update!
Pac-Man, Freddy Fazbear and his crew, Dr. Mario, Wario, Zizou Olympia (from the "Legend of Dark Witch" indie series), and Miis may soon appear in the EQBG timeline. A story featuring Kirby is already in the works, and I'm also planning on a follow-up short story to Fluttershy's Mansion involving the Polterpup from the story of Dark Moon, a game I just recently finished after having waited three years to purchase it!

"Kirby's Adventure" and "Fazbear Fright" are well on their way to completion! So I will be taking a page from Scott Cawthon and post a few teasers for who will appear in "Fazbear Fright" besides Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Golden Freddy. Everyone who appears in the teasers will appear in the story in some form or another.

Fluttershy mentioning that Pinkie once dared her to make it to Night 3 is a reference to Vannamelon's "Fluttershy plays Five Nights at Freddy's"
Freddy saying, "It's been so long, but we FINALLY have something to do," References the Living Tombstone's "It's Been So Long"
When Chica says "WHO'S THAT ON THE PHONE! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE ALONE!" She's quoting from Madame Macabre's "Welcome to Freddy's".
Purple Guy's name comes from "FNaF: The SIlver Eyes", and the way he dies references the Night Five mini-game from FNaF 3.
Afton attacking Freddy with an ax is a reference to the Living Tombstone's "Die in a Fire"

When I mentioned that Kirby had a glow emanating from him, this was in reference to the Final Smash, and how it makes the character that obtained the Smash Ball glow before they use it. I realized after the fact that it could have been mistaken for Hypernova Kirby, seeing as that form of Kirby has a rainbow colored glow to it. Pictures of Kirby's Final Smash from Brawl (it's different in Smash 4) and Hypernova Kirby are included as reference.

There would have been two other stories that would have appeared here. The first one would have involved both of the Twilights meeting the various Marios (It's unknown how many of them would have appeared, but Dr. Mario, Mario himself, and Metal Mario would have definitely appeared). It would have either been called "Too Many Marios", as a reference to "Too Many Pinkie Pies", or "I think I'm a Clone Now", as a reference to the parody of the same name that was written by "Weird" Al Yankovic (the person who voiced the character Cheese Sandwich in "Pinkie Pride"). The second one would have had Pinkie find out why Luigi wasn't in Super Mario 64 and would have been called "L is Real 2401" as a reference to the plaque on the star statue in the Castle Backyard that caused most people to think Luigi was in the game. These ideas never came to fruition because every way I tried to implement the ideas were too short in my opinion.
