Happy Nightmare Night

It was Nightmare Night in Ponyville and the whole town was decorated for the festivities. The ponies were all dressed up in colorful costumes. Some were spooky, some were scary, some were creepy, and some just ridiculous. It didn’t matter what you were dressed as. Nightmare Night was all about fun...

“And candy!” Pinkie Pie interjected, dressed in a shark costume.

Yes, candy. Thank you, Pinkie Pie.

“No problem! Happy Nightmare Night!”

“Pinkie, who are you talking to?” Rainbow Dash asked. For Nightmare Night she was in a Daring Do costume.

“‘Oh, just the narrator,” Pinkie Pie grinned.

“Pinkie, you are so random!”

“Yup!”

“And Fluttershy, glad you decided to join us,” Rainbow Dash smiled at her friend. Fluttershy was in a breezie costume which looked good on her.

“Well, as long as it’s just a party at Twilight’s castle, I should be fine,” smiled Fluttershy.

They arrived at the castle at the same time as Applejack and Rarity. Applejack was wearing a viking costume complete with a fake beard. Rarity came as a vampire.

“Looks like the whole gang’s here,” Applejack smiled as she waved at them.

“Come on! Knock on the door!” Rainbow Dash flew up and tapped her hoof against the large door. It opened up and Spike was there to greet them. He was dressed as a zombie.

“Welcome to Twilight’s Haunted Castle!” Spike greeted, trying to do the spooky voice.

“Aw~ You’re so adorable, spikey-wikey,” cooed Rarity.

“Ah, shucks. Rarity! I was trying to be scary,” Spike complained.

“Well, you just look so cute!”

“Ah, gag me! Come on! We got a party!” Rainbow Dash flew in with her friends following HER inside. Twilight was at the table with Starlight. Starlight was dressed as the general of an army and Twilight was dressed as a witch.

“Happy Nightmare Night, girls!” Twilight smiled. “So, who wants candy?”

Pinkie Pie zoomed over to the bowl, “Don’t mind if I do!” An aura of magic surrounded the bowl and it floated out of Pinkie’s reach.

“Sorry, Pinkie, but that candy is for the foals. The candy over there is for you,” Starlight pointed at the long table with all kinds of treats.

“Oh, goodie!” Pinkie Pie zoomed over and began stuffing herself with candy.

“So, Twilight. What have you got for us tonight?” Rainbow Dash asked eagerly.

“Oh, Starlight and I came up with some tricks for you. Spike wasn’t kidding when he said this was a Haunted Castle,” Twilight smirked.

“Oh my,” Fluttershy trembled.

“Fluttershy, it’s fine at the table here. But Twilight and I made some magical modifications to the rooms,” Starlight explained.

“What kind of magical modifications?” Applejack asked.

“Appropriate for Nightmare Night,” Starlight answered. There was another knock at the door. Moments later, Spike came in looking unsure.

“So, was it some foals wanting candy?” Twilight asked.

“Actually...” Spike said. “It’s...”

“I need no introduction, reptile,” said Queen Chrysalis as she walked up behind Spike. The Mane 6 and Starlight gasped as they saw the changeling queen in the Castle of Friendship.

“Chrysalis!” Twilight shouted as she powered up her horn. Starlight stood next to her, doing the same. They were readying magical blasts just for the evil queen.

“Oh, relax Twilight. I’m not here to ruin your night,” Chrysalis reassured.

“Then why are you here, Chrysalis?” Twilight asked.

“Pfft!”

Hopping into the main room was Fluffle Puff. She was in a taco costume.

“Pff!”

“Fluffle Puff!?” the Mane 6 exclaimed.

“Who?” Spike and Starlight asked.

“Fluffy here wanted to come out for Nightmare Night and asked me to come along. It’s actually pretty funny how nobody even bats an eye or looks twice when I came into your town,” Chrysalis smiled.

“Oh, right. Because everyone just thinks you’re in costume,” Pinkie Pie realized.

“So, tonight you just want to have fun?” Twilight asked.

“Oh, my idea of fun is different, but Fluffy here was eager to see you all again, and I couldn’t let her go off on her own,” Chrysalis answered.

Fluffle Puff was at the candy table. She spotted a bowl of candy and gasped happily before she planted her face inside. She gobbled up all the candy and grinned widely.

“That candy was for the foals,” said Starlight.

“Well, now you can go get more. Anyway, Fluffy just wanted candy. We’ll be out of your mane now,” said Chrysalis.

“Oh, OK then. Happy Nightmare Night,” Twilight bade Chrysalis.

“And to you as well, Princess Twilight Sparkle. Now, come on, Fluffy. We have more houses to visit and candy to collect.”

Fluffle Puff hopped over to Chrysalis. She turned and waved at the Mane 6, Spike and Starlight before following her ‘bug waifu’ out of the castle.

“OK, are we just going to let Chrysalis waltz out of here?” Rainbow Dash demanded.

“I think we should follow her so she doesn’t cause any trouble,” suggested Rarity.

“And I’ll stay here,” Fluttershy volunteered.

“No way, Fluttershy. We’re gonna need all six of us to make sure that evil changeling doesn’t mess up Nightmare Night," Rainbow Dash objected.

“Oh, dear.”

“Actually, I don’t think we’re in any danger. My Pinkie Sense hasn’t reacted all night. Not even when Chrysalis came in,” said Pinkie.

“But she’s here in Ponyville!” Rainbow Dash reminded. “Twilight, come on!”

“Well, I guess we could watch her,” Twilight conceded. “We wouldn’t want to cause a panic, so don’t let anypony else know what we’re doing. Spike, Starlight, do you two mind holding the fort?”

Spike saluted, “You got it.”

“And Starlight, make sure Spike doesn’t eat all the candy,” Twilight instructed. “OK, girls! Let’s go!”

Meanwhile, Chrysalis was enjoying the festivities with Fluffle Puff. The ball of pink fluff was holding a Nightmare Night bag full of candy and was enjoying herself as well.

“And this is supposed to be scary,” Chrysalis scoffed as she looked at the costumes and decorations. She then got a devious idea. “Oh, that would be fun.”

“Pfft?”

“Oh, nothing. Just something for an innocent scare,” Chrysalis replied. “Come on. Let’s go.”

Not too far away, the Mane 6 watched as Chrysalis and Fluffle Puff snuck away.

“They’re up to something,” Rainbow glared suspiciously.

“So, are they plotting?” Rarity asked.

“More like scheming.”

“Well, whatever Chrysalis is scheming or plotting, we better make sure she doesn’t cause trouble,” Twilight suggested.

“Or ruin Nightmare Night!” Pinkie Pie chimed in.

Meanwhile, the CMC were all having fun gathering candy. Scootaloo was dressed as a ninja, Sweetie Belle was dressed as an astronaut and Applebloom was wrapped up like a mummy.

“Look at this haul! We’re gonna have so much candy!” exclaimed Scootaloo.

“Whose house should we go next?” Sweetie Belle asked.

“How about we go to Twilight’s Castle? She should have tons of candy,” Applebloom suggested.

The CMC walked by a bush and it began to shake.

“Huh?” Applebloom blinked.

“What is it, Applebloom?” Scootaloo asked.

“That bush just moved,” Applebloom pointed.

All of a sudden, a huge taco emerged, causing the three school fillies to cry out.

“Pff!” Fluffle Puff blew a raspberry.

“Oh, it’s just another pony,” Scootaloo breathed a sigh of relief.

Sweetie Belle, however, was frozen in fear as a huge shape emerged from the bush. It had rows and rows of sharp teeth, huge claws, and a menacing gaze.

“RUN!!!” Sweetle Belle screamed as she ran off, followed by her friends.

“Ahahahahahahaha!” Chrysalis laughed as Fluffle Puff giggled. “Oh, and look. Those little fillies were kind enough to leave us their candy.”

“Stop right there, Chrysalis!” Twilight Sparkle stomped over with her friends to confront the changeling queen.

“Oh, Princess Twilight Sparkle,” responded Chrysalis innocently.

“We saw you scare those fillies,” accused Rarity.

“Oh, but isn’t Nightmare Night about scares? Or was I misinformed?” Chrysalis tilted her head.

“You’re trying to steal candy too!” Pinkie Pie added, glaring at her and pointing at the bags the CMC left behind.

“Alright, fine! Fluffy wanted more candy and I thought we could have some fun as well,” Chrysalis scoffed. “You can have them if you want.”

“What are you planning, Chrysalis?” Twilight demanded.

“We’re out to have some fun. Now, if you don’t mind, we have elsewhere to go. We know when we’re not welcomed,” Chrysalis answered.

“We’re not letting you go anywhere!” snapped Rainbow Dash.

“I know you’d say that,” Chrysalis smirked. “Fluffy, it's time we go! Give them the Fluff Bomb!”

Fluffle Puff burst out of her costume. She then expanded as she became a giant ball of pink fluff. Finally, she exploded, sending pink fluff flying all over Ponyville. The entire town was covered in a blanket of pink fluff. As the Mane 6 dug themselves out, Chrysalis fled, flying away, cackling while carrying Fluffle Puff and their stolen candy away.

"HAPPY NIGHTMARE NIGHT!!!"

“Princess Celestia will not be happy about this,” Twilight groaned.

Just another short story that wouldn't leave me alone. As you can see, I am a Fluffle Puff fan. I also love ChryssyFluff and wish it was canon!

Cool a sequel! Can you make another one in which Celestia and Luna meet with Chrysalis and Fluffle? I can picture Fluffle makes a speech infront of a large crowd of ponies: either nobles, gathering or even an angry mob and with a few Pffts has everyone cheering for her.

Bug Horse Waifu is best. I mean, Chryssi does need a morality pet. I mean, Fluffle Puff just loves her so much. Chrysalis even sends changelings to get things for Fluffy.

Hey, what if next time Fluffle Puff visits Ponyville again.

You could make it a mini-series of Fluffle sending a week there and driving the ponies crazy or just weirding them out.

I can also see Chrysalis who is afraid of losing Fluffle doing a romantic gesture. Like it/s night and raining while Fluffle attends a slumber party at Twilight's castle and Chrysalis is outside wearing a leather jacket and holding a boombox over her head playing the unicorns dancing on rainbows.
