This is the first story idea that bounced around my head. It's not taking shape exactly how I expected, but at this point I think that's for the better. It was initially my solution for why Luna still spoke and older dialect in her first appearance and Discord used the current one immediately. And then I realized, "holy shit, my idea is going to be boring to read and write." So now I'm going this direction :D

Rated "Teen" and tagged "Dark" because this is going to go into some very bad places in the next couple chapters. I promise.

If anyone has experience planning long running stories, say on the scale of Apotheosis, Eternal, or The God Particle (those being some of the longest stories I can think of in terms of events and word count), I'd like a look at that process. Drop a comment or a PM, if you wouldn't mind. I could just ask their respective authors, now that I think about it. Weekend project!

Wow, I'm glad you liked it so much. I was a little iffy as I was rereading it, honestly. I swapped around a lot of stuff and left one or two straggling pieces from the earlier version. I spent most of the day doing research on the effects of prolonged sensory deprivation and solitary confinement. Hopefully the next couple chapters will keep you entertained. I have a rough outline going, finally.
