Yep. The Tantabus was basically her self-inflicted punishment become semi-aware, a manifestation of her guilt and what self-loathing she experienced over her actions as Nightmare Moon. This is much more "come to the dark side"-esque... although the "you will never be rid of me" does actually fit the Tantabus's purpose quite well, since it was supposed to be a reminder of what she had done.
"LUNA! You will NEVER be rid of me! NIGHTMARE is SUPERIOR"!
I wrote that because the title reminds of Clockwerks last words from Sly Cooper.
