An asteroid of enormic proportions strikes Equestria, and the few pockets of survivors are forced to begin a new civilization in the harsh new environment.
Marmalade Jalapeno awakens hundreds of years after being put into stasis inside an underground shelter known as an Cradle. The Cradle's are the direct result of the Harmony project, a massive undertaking in which hundreds of Cradle's containing cryogenic pods were sealed under the surface of Equestria in order to preserve enough of pony population to rebuild civilization in the future.

Enormic isn't the name of a character. As far as Marmalade Jalapeno goes, that is actually a background character in the show, just named by fans.

Seriously though, good story so far. Everyone seems pretty chill about the apocalypse, though.

804880 hmm touche, difference is is that this is a comment on the internet not a fanfiction, a fanfiction, unlike a comment, needs to be at least looked over for errors and such by the writer, while a comment can literally be nothing but DKnlkasdnlkadnklandbgtlakldnlad lkasndland, even though I don't use an editor for my fanfictions most of the time (i do have people edit them, i just publish the chapters before they can edit it because I'm impatient like that) I at least go back and make sure the basics are all correct, including words, spell check is your best friend
