Interesting idea. Can't wait to see where Nightshade will be headed.

Keep up the good work

Alright. An intriguing premise. I will need slightly more to pass the judgment, but I am willing to give this a chance.

Ok i'm passing judement. Love it already, keep it up.

Awesome. I'm already favoriting it.

I really support the idea. Part of my own head cannon is that there really is some sort of hidden force, inquisitors, agents, etc, that keeps Equestria peaceful.

So I'm curious to see how you pull this story off and shall watch this story.

It has to be said.

Nopony expects the Equestrian Inquisition!

7494867 Thank you Six well you'll just have to wait and see.

7494877 Maybe you can pass judgement after chapter two Gulheru.

7494899 Thank you I certainly will.

7495185 I hope you will continue to enjoy further chapters.

7495258 All that constant peace has to come from somewhere, we only see the mane six handle world threatening stuff.

7495753 Oh you. :rainbowwild:

7496067 Why thank you.

7496479 More cool things coming up.

I will be keeping an eye on this one. You have an excellent promise and if our RP sessions are any clue, I think that this will more than live up to that promise.

Heh. Great chapter Snowy! Amd now is time to bug you on a Discord! I want to know more! :rainbowwild:

Very, very nice. Your grasp of combat writing is already impressive, and I find myself liking Nightshade's personality: a bit childish and silly, even in the darkness of her job. I look forward to more.

oh yeah, the plot thickens. curious to see what lies in store for Nightshade.

keep up the good work!

Love this chapter!!! Thanks for writng it!

Yay! More story! I was hoping that there'd be more of this! And Nightdancer continues to be amusing and awesome! I love her cheeky personality showing in the middle of her fights.

I liked this chapter for the most part, but there were a couple criticisms. For starters, the description of the basilisk was a tad lacking: yes, most of us have some idea of what a basilisk is, but it would've been nice if you'd given us more description and allow us to see it in our mind's eye.

Also, the part where she pauses to eat is very, very odd. She's in the middle of a life-or-death scenario, searching for a necromancer who threatens the kingdom. Why would she pause to eat something, especially a meal that's being served by a stranger that she is fully aware is working for the guy that is trying to kill her? That, to me, is just a flat-out violation of common sense.

However, unless I miss my guess, this is far from the last we shall see of Moonstreak, and how she relates to Nightdancer. I look forward to more!

She was quite surprised by that dining hall herself and manners won over logic, Nightshade too, makes mistakes.

Hmm, so far, it’s really interesting. It’s clear from the first chapter that Nightshade is a pony with good heart, but also fast reflexes and very protective nature. (By the way, that part with the two fillies was the only one in this story I’d call hard to follow. A little bit more of description and clarifying wouldn’t do it any harm.) Chapter two is my favourite so far, with miss chivalrous knightess being a very original and amusing addition to the fight.
This last chapter was a little strange and I’d blame it on Moonstreak, that mare is almost radiating weirdness. Just as PonyJosiah13 said, that dining room scene was really strange, contrasting with Nightshade’s careful behavior depicted everywhere else.

All in all, I’m curious to see where this will lead

Yes it is certainly strange how she just dropped all caution isn't it?

Hmm... I'm smelling some mystery here :trixieshiftright:

First of all, I want to say that I am glad that this story is continuing and that you are back to writing!

However, there is something that occurred to me here. This guy apparently wasn't trying to take over the world or anything: he just wanted his family back. Is necromancy really so terrible that it necessitates sending in what apparently essentially amounts to a one-pony black ops team to wipe them all out? Granted, the cliche villain kind of enforces the "necromancy=bad" idea, but it's not enough to really convince me that it's bad, or provide any real evidence for that argument. All that we're really told is that for some reason, it's just inherently evil.

Also, I have a bit of an issue with Nightshade turning out to be bi. I don't have any issue with the trait itself, but within the story, it just feels like it's left dangling: a premise with no real conflict and no resolution. It's just kinda...there.

Criticisms aside, this all looks pretty good! Your character Nightshade is multi-faceted and skilled and sympathetic as a character, and her death was certainly tragic. I am interested to see how her daughter will rise up afterwards!

Josi she didn't, read it again, there was a reason Nightshade thought she was, there are a few hints which might tell you why Moonstreak and Melodia had such an effect on her.

Secondly, dark magic of any kind no matter the reason is forbidden, necromancy dishonors the dead and goes against all rules of nature, the necromancer knew this so should not have been surprised to be paid a visit by an Inquisitor

1. Ah, right, fair point. Should've read a bit more carefully.

2. Mm, okay, that's fair, I guess. I can go with dark magic being inherently bad because it's such an established trope.

Glad to see this continue, albeit I have to admit, I was in need of refreshing my mind about the previous chapters.

Also, great fight and... rather unexpected, but somewhat fair ending. Curious how this will continue! :ajsmug:

Thank you, I usually write what inspires me so sorry it took a bit.
