Merry Melody is quite the' unfortunate pony.
First she spent the majority of her life in the hospital as a mental patient. Then she spent a year trying, and failing, to convince other ponies to chaos worship. And now she is hallucinating that crazy looking animals are running around with superpowers.
As if that wasn't enough, now some guy named Arceus yells in her head to treat these Pokémon like equals. Well, she knows better than to do what a voice in her head tells her to do!

Love it. I thought it was odd for Mery to be named other than Screw Loose, but I du understand what you tried to do with it. (I don't mind the naming, just felt the need to point that out).
But I think doctors don't take care of mental cases, that is more fitted for a psychiatrist. Although again, I see what you did with the doctor at her care.
I am looking forward for more and would suggest you to ask Articbrony for tips and suggestions. He seems more verced on the psychiatric field.

Thanks. This is the practice story i told you about.
We don't really know much about medical care in Equestria, but the doctor i used here is the same one from the episode where RD hurts her wing, and it was shown that he did have a mental patient to care for (the barking mare). So I used that as the basis to say that he is qualified for the task.
And yeah, I'll remember to ask Arcticbrony for tips.
