Loving it, seriously.
Go big or go home huh fast falling for a alicorn huh hmmm *chuckles* that is amazing and I wonder if it becomes a standard to where medical box's like that in the followers hmmm
I'm...I'm so sorry
But after the first line I couldn't help but think of this⬆
SPIKE!!!!! and also Velvet and Calamity
Careful Fast some say the more beautiful something is the more dangerous it is and I also a little concerned about Sunset since she wasn't in a pod what happened to her?
Guess I got to keep reading
Ah yeah got to love that alicorn. Their rather rare at this point
OH YES! Codsworth! Best Companion (No-one can convince me otherwise, despite what his stats say)! God I love that magnificent hunk of steel. In my Fo4 play through (with mechanist) I may have given him a Sentry body with a Gatling Laser an Rocket Launcer. Maybe.
"The Shrouded Stallion"; is this part of the imagery that The Dealer used to compose his image in "Horizons"?

And I may have gave him batons for arms and made him kill settlers but what happens in sanctuary stays in sanctuary
ohhhhh looks like Fast ran into his first Alicorn and now he's head over hoof for her

I can just agree there. When I first played FO4 I was like: "Fuck the dog...I have a robot! A ROBOT!"
Huh, come to think of it, how does the sun get around these days?
The time will come when you look back on this with nostalgia, food cooked by someone who actually knows what they're doing, rather than half a can of beer and some vegetation boiled on a hot rock over a fire.
I mean this with all good intentions, as this story is really good. However, they’re called Mint-als in the original publication.
And, I know it may seem silly, but I was so happy when I saw that Travis/Traveling was more or less the same, he’s probably the worst DJ ever and I love him for that. See, I like his character idea, but die laughing when I hear his broadcast.
Also, yay! Right Behind You Baby is canon now! Though I would complain about poor Velvet Remedy genre-recalling (the original says, as Velvet Remedy is recording: a rich, electronic sound filled the chamber) , it actually doesn’t bother me too much, because I still love The Wasteland Wailers. Also, Right Behind You Baby is more of an Proto-Rock and Roll tune, which I could totally see Calamity coaxing Velvet into doing.
Do not take any of these as negative, I’m loving the story so far.
I'd love to see a full duet version of that song ngl, also love at first sight <3
Alicorn
10049540 Come on, we’re just nitpicking now. Just enjoy the story.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Dion Trails was a ghoul somewhere, because Dion never seems to die (as of writing this, he’s 82, the only living artist on DCR, Magnolia notwithstanding, and has been recording songs for 8 decades (50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’,s 90’s, 00’s, 10’s, 20’s)).
Otherwise, I really loved the Fallout 4 continuity with the drug lab in Sanctuary. Also, best pony is here, and she shall stay best pony for the foreseeable future.
(For the record, I’m typing these to actually deconstruct my thoughts in further details despite me having read this story before.)
The runt comment left me unable to read

Erm-hm correction best mare
Oh how accurate this turns out to be
Traveling Miles? Cute. Good ponification of the name. That said Fast cannot confidence boost him soon enough. Such a terrible goddamn radio host, falls flat on his ass compared to the charisma of THREEEE DAAAAAWGGGG or the charcoal smooth dulcet ever-smiling tones Mr. New Vegas.
I find it a little odd he automatically assumed Celestia to be dead and gone. Ponies all over the wasteland assumed Celestia and Luna might have still been alive or present in some way, and they spent centuries unable to usually see the sun or moon. You’d think a pre-war stable pony would hold out hope that Sunbutt and Moonpies would be holed up in a palace bunker somewhere poking their heads out of hatches to keep the sky moving. I dunno, I was kinda anticipating him having a moment of ‘oh no, they’re dead, aren’t they?’. There’s this exchange of dialogue in some foe fic, the original I’m pretty sure? Where a Pegasus (again, calamity I’m pretty sure) is confiding in the protagonist that they’re pretty sure Celestia and Luna are dead because the moon moved wildly across the sky (I.e under conventional orbital mechanics) and that there’s a lot of days when you’ll see it in the sky during the daytime. It could have been a big shock to him to see it hazy against the blue sky, a big crazy impossibility. Maybe he’ll still have one later. I’ll wait and see.
I find it mildly frustrating how much of the Cogsworth convo is lifted from the game. I’d think he’d have a little more audible shock at his persistence or questions about the world than the stiff mannequin that is the fallout 4 protagonist.
I’d assume that Handy’s and whatever the foe version was called would have came with options at the dealership as to the package of limb attachments they come with, so really, he can blame his mom for purchasing the one with a flamethrower and saw taking up two thirds of its appendages.
>Poncord
I am going to scream. Goddamn horse puns. The funny thing is Concord is already functional as a pony town name, on the ‘happy friendly harmonious concepts’ end as opposed to the pun end.
I do kinda wish his reaction to eating meat was a little stronger. He is a pre-war pony after all. Of course he’s a very young one, and his knowledge of the pre war world is infantile. But still.
His mom’s a big skilled vet, huh? I almost want her to pop up later in power armor as some scary wasteland warrior. Put a little bit of ‘you can never really come home’ into the poor kid when he sees who she’s become. But that’s what would happen if this story was angled towards an angst fest.
Here comes spike to officially christen Fast Times a fallout Equestria protagonist. It doesn’t count until he shows up. Until then you’re a one-shotter at best, a background pony with a spotlight. He’s step one in actually being a character.
‘You’re in better shape than certain other ponies fresh out the stable’
Don’t worry kid, you might be in fucked up circumstances, but man you’re miles ahead of Pip and BJ in the rocky start department. Not only do you get a friend out the gate, but they’re a friend that doesn’t want to shoot you in the back for your misdeeds.
Homage please give Miles lessons in stage presence. Please. Also Calamity and Velvet recording together is cute. I don’t remember if that’s a pre-existing thing or not. But I like it.
Who doesn’t like a mutie-cutie? Those legs go up, up, and up, and a lot of them are juuuuust crazy enough to be endearingly eccentric. Also, he now has two companions, which means he officially has a party. Can’t wait for it to expand into a full on waste stomping posse.
The perfection of the song and the scene of him chasing after the falling alicorn cannot be overstated.
