I liked it! It was well written and somehow managed to be bittersweet even though it was depressing. And I thought it was pretty sad when you got to Spike's name and it read, "Spike Sparkle." Ouch.

It's amazing what you can get from a random urge to speculate last names.
I really like it, but if I may make a request. I'd really like to hear exactly what happened to everyone. This is a great halfway chapter, but I really want to know what happened before and what's going to happen.

To be honest, I've been considering writing about what happened but I also went into this wanting to leave that open to speculation. So I might do so, but only if there's notable demand for it.
As for what's going to happen... I'm currently working on another story that sort of is a sequel while not strictly being a sequel so I might expand upon it in that. (Read: I will expand upon it but I'm not sure up until what degree yet.)
I understand when you want to let the readers decide what happen or come up with it on their own, however, due to the lack of detail on the state of everything except the deaths of the others I think it would be too hard. The best stories I've ever read like this have always left a little guidance to put you on the right path or at least allow for some credible ideas.

Alright, let's review this puppy. (Note, the review might be short, as the story is short.)
Critical look
Overall, a very well constructed story with no mistakes in the grammatical and structural department in my eyes. That's always a bonus and, you managed to get the 'I'-perspective down completely. It's a hard one to do for certain, but in this story, I really believed I was looking through the eyes of Twilight.
Adding the fact you never revealed that caused the events to happen, nor the meeting with Trixie, only adds to the mystery and speculation that is possible to come from this. And something I just love to do.
The only true complaint I can be having is, more detail about the surrounding.
Personal look
My, goodness. I admit, despite it being short, it was still an amazing thing to read. It sucked me into the world almost right away with the right tone and settings. But also the process of going from location to location you knew each of the mane 6 lived, simply breathtaking.
I love that what you did with the last name, or surname, for each character. And I confess, I got a tini tiny tear when I read 'Rarity Belle' and 'Spike Sparkle'.
Overall, a wonderful little story that is definitely worth it's amount of word in gold. I enjoyed it for what it was and that, is what counts in the end, don't you think?
Now if you will excuse me, I need to eliminate certain thoughts from my mind before I write a novel sequel to this.
