Well, I guess you found me. Here you'll find some below average to average writing and a fan of Star Wars.

Nice little story.

To me, magic is a means to solve problems. More so than anything else, magic is a tool that can be used to help others.

Nice way to make you think.

Magic to me is the fact the we can still look for the bright side of every situation, no matter how screwed up this world gets.

Magic means mystery to me. And I like this one. Short, a complete tale. Well-written as well.

I believe magic is a force that breaks the laws of thermodynamics and instead takes a more karmic price for it's use. To change something into something it is not is to change it's nature, and every change, no matter how small, is a change to the world as a whole... You know, all that cod-philosophic jibber jabber :derpytongue2:

Magic is the power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces.

Nice story.

Magic...a long time ago I thought there was no magic left in this messed up world. Then my brother became a father and I uncle. When I see the little guy smile and laugh...I think that is magic to me.

Personally, I think the whole "metaphorical magic" angle would sound distinctly unimpressive and probably almost a bit delusional in a world where magic means teleportation, walking on clouds and tossing thunderbolts like shashlik sticks. It gives the impression of being deep and insightful on the surface, but when you really examine it? It doesn't mean a whole lot.

The act of simply observing something changing the outcome,

This is one of my favourite facts in quantum physics simply because it is so, so often misunderstood. The thing isn't that observing something changes the outcome. Just looking at something doesn't make it different, it's not about the expectations of whoever does the observing. It's the fact that to observe and measure anything, you need to interact with it. Vision is light interacting with matter and being reflected onto your retina. Touch is two solid objects coming into contact, exerting forces and deforming each other. Smell is parts of another object separating from it and coming into contact with the sensory receptors in your nose.

Quantum physics, ultimately, need to obey the same rule. The only way to know where a particle is and what it's doing is to toss another particle at it and see how it bounces, or to expose it to a charged field and see what the forces exerted back on the emitter tell you about it. In each case, you need to actually do something to the thing you are measuring - and in doing so, you change it.

Magic is the exercise of will to influence reality, and sometimes vice-versa.

magic is apparently fucking up a spell and getting a coin lodged in someones brain

can we talk about the fact that twilight had actually put the coin IN HIS SKIN?
