7355810 well think of it this way how would you react if you saw a 4 foot tall pink horse with massive eyes in the darkness of your room. Love the mane 6 to death but in real life they would look terrifying at first. Secondly due to Celestia and with how warm and safe Ponyville looks it's kinda like a pacifier.

7355827 I suppose it depends on the person. If I woke up in the middle of the night, I would be too tired to care about a four foot tall, pink, curly haired, talking pony. Also, I'd be scared at first, but once I realize who it is, I'd be like "Pinkie Pie? How are you even real?"

7356058 Well, here's the story I came up with, Lyra somehow, either by human science combined with human stupidity, or human stupidity in general, found the exact location of a brony who happens to want to go to Equestria, but her spell goes wrong and sends him to the rock farm where Maud lives. After working hard for them, he decides to go to Ponyville, and you can just make up the rest, but either way Lyra and Maud are trying to gain custody of him... much to his annoyance, so a trial is placed, and somehow a pony Sonata Dusk is at the hearing but interrupts it and is even encouraged by Lyra to ask about Tacos, to the judges annoyance. You can pick which pony to be the judge.
