TheDimensionRift

"Behold the turtle!" -TheDimensionRift 2016. I'm a die hard Naruto fan and enjoy DBZ (TFS/Origin) and many other animes. I love all genres of music and hope to be a sound engineer. *BEAT-BOXES*

(NARUTO SHIPPUDEN SPOILER ALERT!)

Naruto Uzumaki finds himself in a strange new world which is inhabited by multicolored ponies.

Now trapped in the body of an equine himself, can Konaha's Number 1 knuckle head ninja cope with his new form? Can he find out why he's been brought to this world in the first place? And what is this evil presence that the Nine Tails keeps sensing?

Tip: Write a description for the story.

7116241 Yeah forgot to the description, I'll fix it.

The changeling you see before you is actually the dead one which is lying on the examination table.

When using a reanimation jutsu, the soul of the deceased actually requires the body they had once alive. Therefore the body on the table shouldn't be able to be the same one as in the coffin. Either the body on the table is the one being reanimated or it's another body entirely.

7164603 Actually, that is not true.
The Reanimation Jutsu has 2 steps. First is to create the "Reanimated body", that is done by using a LIVE sacrifice to act as a host for a soul. This causes the body to take the appearance of how the soul looked while alive. This newly "created" body is then stored inside a coffin and is available to be summoned at any time.

Second step is what is seen in the chapter, which is summoning of an already filled coffin.

That means the scene is entirely plausible, provided that Kabuto got two changelings to experiment with.

7164768 Really? But wasn't there some kind of fight to prevent the taking of some shinobi bodies in the series to prevent someone form using the reanimation jutsu on them?

7164815 I am honestly not sure about that, maybe you need the original body to call the soul back? But even then nothing happens to it.
But I remember someone demonstrating exactly how it was done in the series. He took two ninjas, killed one and used the other to bring the first one back. The result was one reanimated ninja and one undamaged corpse.

7164833 Well, I guess I was wrong then... Well, if not anything else, it just proves that organic storage devices tend to corrupt data when tasked with constant influx of data and insufficient processing data to keep it all running 24/7.

7164603 that's not true. I think that applied back earlier in the non-shippuden series but now you can use replacements like the white zetsu. there have been many cases when the whole body has been destroyed and they had to use other people or white zetsu.

7164833 Not really all you need is some DNA of the one you are trying to revive
It can honestly be anything ranging from a full body corpse to even just a drop of there blood or even just hair as long as it has there DNA in it the technique itself will handle the rest

7249687 Tell it to Kishimoto (or the 2nd Hokage who created the jutsu), hence why it's a forbidden jutsu

7249687
7249799 Then you probably don't want to know that the one Kabuto used was both permanent and won't be just canceled with the death of the techniques user

The user actually has to cancel it they're self.....or else no matter what you do the technique will just continue on forever.....even long before Kabuto's physical body expires.....and you also have to specifically use the Naruto worlds form of sealing for them to actually stay sealed or else they will just figure out another way out of whatever seal you use on them that isn't from there own world.....the seals from there home deals with time and space manipulation after all

7256957 Yup, Kabuto was able to practically perfect the jutsu, making him a better Edo Tensei user than the 2nd Hokage and Orochimaru.....thankfully Itachi was so badass he was able to use Izanami to stop him.
