Princess Twilight finds herself summoned through the mirror for a difficult test of friendship versus violence as an old foe once again threatens her friends and the world. With no friendship magic available, can Twilight make do with a sword?
This story was written for the March 2016 Equestria Daily Friend-off #4. The rules read: "Take your favorite piece of artwork and write something about it." I bought a poster of this image by NCMares. It was so dramatic that with that prompt I had to write about it:

This was epic, well done
Almost absurd, but in a very good way. A bit light on some of the surrounding details, but understandable given Twilight's perspective and, by the end of it, wanting to be done with the thing. All in all, a heck of a thriller. Thank you for it.
