Good grammar and spelling go a LONG way. If you want comparison to another medium, think about when someone is doing a Let's Play or any kind of video that demands you listen to them talk, but there's something wrong with the audio. They mumble, or they have a bad mic, or the sound is too loud and keeps distorting, something that makes it hard to listen to. Regardless of what they say, you're probably not going to want to watch their video because it's a chore to listen to.
If you struggle with grammar yourself, it's pretty easy to find online guides, or have someone else look it over and make those minor corrections if you're comfortable with that. But, seriously, it's unlikely you'll get many readers when your grammar is so hard to look at.
