The Web of conspiracy and mysticism continues to be spun.... Only time will tell if the lattice of sticky organic doom is enough to ensnare their odious prey in their contrived artifice of deception...
Yanno, it's only due to fimfiction that I can even write something like that, I should really consider spitting my own words on here sometime.
Oh sweet summer child. Applejack never once trusted you Autumn, she be a blind fool to trust you Enclave Snakes.
okey, Eden's still president, but not for long.
.....called it.....anyone else seen that coming
snowdrop i cant see shite captain.jpeg goes here
Well well. This continues to be interesting.
Spike is going to be a Deathclaw, isn’t he.

A talking deathclaw, a talking purple deathclaw, a talking purple deathclaw that breaths green fire.
Where are you spike?!?
So I'm finally caught up on the story. I really like it and I'm so happy that this story finally has been revived. Some reveals were a bit jarring.
Such as back in chap. 14 when Daniel and the other suddenly ended up in Equestria when last we heard before that they were on their way to a "knock" to see how peaceful a gathering of raiders could be and how well Fluttershy's new gang could behave.
Leaning more about America's first contact with Equestria was also interesting especially the Apple family connection.
I had forgot about the crystal army's armor under King Sombra wore black and red armor. When they were first mentioned I thought that the outcasts had infiltrated Canterlot.
I'm eager to see what happens next.
Tbh, I like his idea of trying to do things right instead of blindly doing something with no discernable outcome like in cannon.
Hopefully they don't have a severe lack of morals
Autumn seems to be in more of a gray area here. I'm not certain if he's entirely malicious, but I know he's not benevolent, either. Of I were to guess, of he has similar ambitions to the game, he wants to make AJ a puppet for him to take control of Equestria.

I made him more of a grey area in this story since his characterization was very mishandled in the game. For example, he directly countermands President Eden when you as the player character escape Raven Rock, yet when you face him in Project Purity in the final battle, he swears up and down that he's loyal to the office of the president. Bethesda couldn't pick one or the other, so I took liberties and redone some of his characterization.
I appreciate the effort to give Autumn, like, actual consistent characterization. What little we've seen of him so far already makes him feel more like a human than all his time in FO3 did.

Thank you for the compliment. I wanted to try something different for this story and not make the Enclave completely irredeemable.
If I may, I'd like to use this comment to shout into the void for a second. Ahem...
I'm no Enclave fanboy. However, the Enclave in Fallout 3 make me irrationally irritated with how badly they're written. Could Bethesda have given us a *few* terminals in Raven Rock so we could at least see what life is like inside the Enclave?
IIRC, all the radios scattered around Enclave bases are tuned to Enclave Radio, which is supposed to be the Enclave's *external* propaganda. What are their internal politics like? How did they maintain secrecy while openly broadcasting their presence? Is the Brotherhood of Steel just that dumb to ignore a faction that they fought in the past—who is also broadcasting a propaganda segment where John Henry Eden brings up the fact that the particular Brotherhood Chapter had a schism that formed 'These so called Outcasts'.
In my opinion, Helldivers 2 provides a much better criticism/parody of fascism than shallowly written bargain bin Nazi-lookalikes because we get to see all of the internal propaganda the Helldivers are exposed to, and all the subtle ways Super Earth is messed up. In Fallout 3, the Enclave goes about as deep as "yeah we do eugenics and want to poison the water supply", while Colonel Autumn shoots a civilian.
Its so frustrating that Bethesda gave us a cartoon-villain rather than a truly intimidating and intelligent faction. For another example of an evil faction done well, Caesar's Legion in Fallout New Vegas. They're not only competent, but their leader has grounds to argue for his own ideals that aren't basic 'we want to genocide what's different'. I don't agree with Caesar's ideals, but the effort had been made to give Caesar the opportunity to explain his warped world view.
I'm not even asking for the Enclave to have been a joinable faction in Fallout 3. I simply want Eden to have been a human who could argue in favor of his own opinion, and the Enclave to be more of active in game before the mid-point reveal, since the fact that they're broadcasting that 'hey, we're the Enclave, we totally exist' and yet people like the Brotherhood of Steel were caught entirely off guard makes no sense. The whole ordeal makes the Brotherhood of Steel, Bethesda's favorite faction, appear like complete headless chickens!
