While it is not unusual that they would look into the disappearance of a friend, why is she surprised that Celestia didn't get involved? Why would they bother the princess with something like this when this is a job for the guard or police to handle? It would be surprising if she did get involved.

Honey Bear is an OC specifically for this story. My headcanon at the time was Starlight ran off and was gone for so long that Sunburst wasn't sure he'd see her again, so he moved on (somewhat) and met her.
