I look at this again, and sudden headcanon. Somepony is a once-a-week secretive adult foal, but actually good at keeping secrets. So we never really find out, even after guess who has a jealous outburst over how easily Twilight can get treated like a baby.

I challenged myself to write a short story every day, and I think a chapter of this counts. 1377 words so far.
Still uncertain with the character voices though. I’m an autistic guy, and “Is that the kind of thing she’d say?” turns out to be really hard for me. So if there’s any lines that stand out, please let me know.
So I guess the secret Adult foal is Rarity? Good, job on this chapter, keep 'em coming. :D
Never sure if I'm being too obscure, or too obvious; whether someone else will spot my hints is tough to judge :p

6559538 Now I'm imagining AJ doing the Mary Poppins routine, unpacking a a load of diapers, powder, wipes, etc. from her bulging saddlebags, and then reaching into the bottom to produce an adult-sized crib and changing table.

Interesting, I wonder if Twilight is going to regress physically, or where you giving clues towards twilight losing her identity (cutie mark)?
6570334 Which would be more interesting? I was never particularly into physical regression, though perceived changes are interesting in their own way. Though I might still explore that avenue if more ideas strike. I think the spell probably wouldn't be created with the capability for physical change, because it was designed as a tool for control, and regression is a side effect of somepony's worldview.
My tales always seem to grow in the telling, though, so I won't say it's set in stone just yet. My plan may still be changed.
I think you can probably see why I cut the chapter off there, rather than waiting until I had a whole scene. Shame that leaves me with a dangling flashback from the first paragraph (which is pretty much Fluttershy half an hour in the future, but still…)
