Tartarusbound

T

After millennia of sleep, a small herd of ponies awaken in the stony depths of Tambelon. As they reach for the surface, however, one might ask if they were left asleep for a reason.

A writing exercise more than anything else. This story consists of one hundred parts, each with no more than one hundred words (hyphenated words and contractions count as two words). Working on linguistic efficiency, I tried to create a reasonably interesting plot and a sizeable number of original characters in the space of ~10,000 words.

With all of that said, reader experience may vary.

Chapters (100)
Comments ( 6 )

Before anyone else points out the obvious, I thought that I should put this out there: the word count feature on FiMFiction apparently functions differently from that on Microsoft Word. If you see a chapter noted as being over 100 words, I invite you to count for yourself. Unless my word document is broken, however, most of those records of >100 words are not accurate.

Also, feel free to let me know if I left in any "Blahs". It's a long story.

I´ll check this one out later. Seems interesting.

Why were they put to sleep in the end?
What was the reason?

Before I read this...

Tambelon. Does that mean a certain demonic ram makes an appearance?

6498768 Quite possible, my friend... though perhaps not as originally envisioned. :ajsmug:

6498619 While the ponies of Tambelon aren't transforming any time soon, the implication was meant to be that they are still infected by some manner of horrible disease (hence their blackening blood and such). While the bell can help slow down diseases, the spell effectively put them in stasis until a true cure can be devised.

Thanks for the explanation.
And thank you for the story, even as experiment - it is quite nice anyway :)
