It's chaos in Sonic's world as he and his friends (Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, and Silver), race to stop the nefarious Dr. Eggman, who has acquired all seven Chaos Emeralds. The doctor believes he has their mysterious powers mastered, until they overload and open a portal not too different from the one that sent Sonic and his friends to earth years ago. Only this time, they don't end up on earth. They're in a brand new world, one with solar deities, mysterious forests, majestic cities, and, most notably, friendly, adventurous, colorful ponies, which they just happen to now be. They're in Equestria.
But Dr. Eggman was sent to Equestria as well, and the race for the Chaos Emeralds is on. But the doctor isn't alone. It's up to the combined forces of Sonic's team and the Mane 6 to protect their world from perhaps the gravest threat yet.
(Note #2: This story takes place in the canon world of MLP as of episode 13 of season 5 and a somewhat freak Sonic universe comprised of the Sonic Adventure games (and a slew of other Sonic games that will be mentioned) and the Sonic X TV series.)

Somehow i want to get as fast as possible to get to the point they reach Equestria, i had to force myself to not skip anything.
Well not sure about Tails at the start, but i think it wasn´t bad what you did there, however i think i read it again tomorrow, maybe i can give you a better answer to your question about the characters then.
Okay somehow I don´t enjoy the new seasons as the others befor it, once reason would be that map, but it didn´t happened everytime, but i can´t watch it on youtube at the moment. I stopped at episode 13, i hope 14 is better, but i can´t watch it at the moment, i don´t like to try out to many sited that i don´t know, so if you could mention a page where I could read it, then i do it.
I´m always a bit affraid, that the map is acting like any other thing all those Super Heroes had in those cartoons.
It could be that I don´t like it that the other races, haven´t anything like those elements, and only those Ponys seems to be that important, but I understand that it is a kids show.
I´m usually against all of Sonics friends in one Story, but now i wished it would been six from the Sonic Universe, because i fear Spike is meant for Rarity in this fanfiction.

Okay it looks like you would plan to rush every romance in here, but i suppose it would be difficult to do it otherwise, however you could just make it even longer if you slow down with everyones romance, and just get every shipping an own chapter to develop the romance.
I really enjoy how you started something between Shadow, and Twilight, and i like it that not everyone is that mesmerizing from each other yet, but please don´t let everyone love each other at the first sight.
It is alright if some of them already like the other one a bit, but please don´t let it look to much like love already.
However like i said, i totally like your Shadow X Twilight here. I hope both of them get one of the more important roles in this story, i would not mind it, if they would have to do something like a final blow to the enemy.

Regarding Twilight parents, well i like the idea that she has to defend him against everyone else who doesn´t like him because of his personality, but i guess her Mother, and Cadance wouls suport them.
I guess Rarity would really like the idea of a new prince Charming, and that he can be as strong as some diety/god makes her probably crazy, because of the fame or whatever her reason in the earlier state of her romance could be.

#1. There will be a scene where Twilight meets Shadow's parents (dang I'm spoiling this to death), but IIIIIIIIIIII don't know if I want a blood between Shadow and Shining Armor. The disapproval aspect would be fun to play around with, but the fight thing would be overkill in my opinion. Not saying I for sure won't do it, but I guess we'll see.
#2. Sonic x RD will be brought into the spotlight a bit more in the next chapter. Tails x Fluttershy and Silver x Rarity will have to wait just a little bit, and I'm going to ship Knuckles and Applejack, but I'm not gonna worry very little about that right now. That needs to happen VERY gradually. They're not really romantic types if you know what I mean. And since this is base around an adventure, a good chunk of their relationship building will be around them teaming up to stop Eggman.
#3. It's fairly easy for me to write comically, but it's subjective as to whether or not it's "funny". I can't see myself shipping Knuckles and Pinkie I like him to be somewhat serious, that and Party Favor and Cheese Sandwich would both be great partners for Pinkie anyway.

I still like Shadow X Twilight the most, and even if i could probably argue about how fast, or slow the romance is taking pace, i honestly don´t mind it today.
This was a nice chapter, and i am just glad to get to read it again. Not sure what you had planned, but i hope we get to see much more about them, or at least Shadow X Twilight, maybe they visit again, or some of them stay in this world?

However i would like it if you don´t just flood the story with action after the next chapter. I am not sure if it would be to soon, but with that many main Chars, it would look a bit rushed, if everyone only has a small moment, and then the next thing happens, and suddenly they like each other very much, at least i think it could look wrong in the end, i don´t say it has to happen.
Maybe you could give each shipping that is a bit further a few solo chapters? Make a full chapter about their dates, or something like that? Some chapters about the shippings between your original chapters from time to time?

Since more people follow this story than me, I have an announcement. I have deleted the Midnight Alicorn after rereading it and realizing that it was terrible and deserved the high amount of dislikes that it got. As for this story I'm not cancelling it yet as it's not that bad, or at least not as bad as my first generic sappy self-insert. Anyway, this is probably going to go on hiatus EVEN LONGER (really sorry everypony who is still for some reason following this) and I'm going to start on a new self-insert style story that I hope will be MILES better than the midnight alicorn. Hopefully I keep my word this time.
Okay so new self-insert story was a TERRIBLE idea. Anyway, this is no longer on hiatus. I have edited this story and glossed it over and will FINALLY be putting out the next chapter. I'm back baby. somehow it feels like a wrong time to end the chapter, but I guess I just enjoyed it really much.
I just enjoy the romance between Shadow and her, since he has a difficullt time to probably even understand romance or to fully agree with his feelings that he is still getting.
Twilight was somehow a bit sad in this chapter, I mean it was a bit hard to see how she seems to try everything (even if not that much happened), and how she panicked about little things, like him not liking or not understanding her world yet.
editing: A part of me was even thinking that she did as much as Rainbow did
Does Shadow still has his haos spear power? In one of the later chapters, I would probably enjoy it, if he would protect Twilight from something, maybe an accident where she can't use her magic, or where the magic doesn't really works or something.
Or just Shadow VS Shining with no one winning, but Twilight ending up screaming at Shining, for wanting to protect her from her love interesst. (However I wouldn't want an easy fix with Cadance)

I would maybe like a talk between Shadow and Cadance, where she helps him a little bit with understanding his feelings, since he maybe don't understand everything because of being created or something like that.

I like it, sometimes it can even be really simple, and still really really good. I just like it how Twilight is always trying very hard in such a situation. I don't even think that Shadow was trying to be mean.
I don't know what to think about Rainbow there, in a way it could actually help Twilight to be a bit more active in their date, but if she is really that nervous and maybe even scared, Rainbow could make it much more worse, since Twilight seems to think that situation was already pretty important.
