Mine was sonic the hedgehog (stuck in my head since I was five and got sonic unleashed) and then it`s been changing.
Whomever cartoonic character is my fave, then becomes my stalker, but V is now my permanent conscious.
I don`t mind talking about him, he`s annoying, helps me in math somehow, talks to me in more debative ways than not, and likes the same things I like~
Also likes to read with me, even if i`m just reading to myself. Sometimes V won`t talk, but that`s mainly when I concentrate too hard to listen.
I have to loosely pull the threads of our speech together to get an answer.

It was super scary to them at first, but they made friends with him/it. I don`t know if that would help you (for you said it is a voice)
but mine`s just me, being me, being annoying to me at the same time. (of course though mine has two forms. A nightmare and daylight version) [the nightmare version`s actually pretty cool, more like my night guardian angel thingy then nightmare~] guess that`s why he`s never in my nightmares.
