The ponies of Equestria find themselves in Earth's ancient past, as dinosaurs. While Spike and Twilight's human friends attempt to find out what happened and how to retrieve the ponies, they are in a struggle for survival, some in groups, some alone.

Not really to me, I think he could have been turned into a raptor, a basal ornithoschian or a plateosaur. Maybe it's just the other Spike. Anyway, I think he'll look kind of cute as a Kulindadromeus, don't any of you?
