Zamairiac, you are the leading royalty x human writer, well-known for your many stories and here you are, commenting on this fledgling of a one-shot and possible series. You don't know how much I am in awe to know that you've read this story. I want you know that I really enjoying reading your fics and that you are a inspiration to me in the whole royalty x human genre.
Their current situation is unbalanced do to the fact that their relationship started off as a 'mutual arrangement' where as Celestia was looking to scratch an itch and Mark really liked being the one to scratch it.
It's a very push-and-pull relationship. Each side uses whatever they have (Mark's seduction and Celestia's words) to have a fleeting advantage that wouldn't be good for any sort of long-lasting relationship. It may seem like Celestia is the one in control but it's Mark who tries to dance between loopholes to get what he wants.
They're not in love yet but just on the verge.

Your praise humbles me, I apologize if I came off as snappish. Perhaps I'm just too used to having my Celly manipulative/loving/soft, seeing her talk to him like (let's be honest) dirt made me feel uncomfortable.

What do you mean?
The gist of the story is this. Celestia and Mark have been fooling around but she's been giving him the royal protocol. That means running around the castle to have sex, telling white lies everyone else and basically ruling their relationship. The whole collar he's wearing is a symbol (outside the story) of him being tamed and trained by Celestia like she would do to any other lover. It doesn't work because Mark isn't interested in Princess Celestia, he's into Celestia who is a princess.
And when words fail, because Celestia could talk herself out a war, he seduces using a fatal flaw. She isn't as high and mighty as she acts like.
Though, you know, this is a unhealthy relationship dynamic if it ever happened real life. But it's nice in fiction for drama and complex feels.

This story is a sequel to The Etiquette of Mounting where Celestia mounts Anon (Mark) at the end via saddles. It's implied after she got on him and in this story, they had sex. Mount is used in both terms of the word. To get on and To get off. Assuming The Position is just a follow-up to the type of relationship that was formed. One based on sex and poor communication though they are working on the last one.
You make me want to write a side-story to clarify all this confusion. Heck, I might do it.

Alright. I understand imagining them doing it vanilla-style. Honestly, you wouldn't know how hard I thought about how they would have sex even though I wouldn't be actually writing it. And it's reverse cow-boy style because of the fact Celestia is much bigger than Mark and wouldn't want to lie on her back.
You sure you wouldn't want a side-story? I'd even let you pick the prompt and fluff that would be focused on.
