Anjou

The One True Fruit.

E

Princess Twilight Sparkle was a forward scout of the Equestrian Federation. Darting from star to star in the fastest vessel ever built, she was tasked with exploring the unknown. She spent every waking moment visiting new stars and planets, as she journeyed toward the galactic center.

A decade and thousands of light years into her mission, Twilight received an order to return home and refused it. She’s too committed to her quest; she has invested far too much time and hope to abandon it.

Now a fugitive for disobeying her orders, Twilight warps into a new star system. She has just moments to breathe before her pursuers catch up again. With no choice but to go onward, she takes the time to continue her exploration, before returning to her quest toward the galactic center.

This is pretty good, looking forward to how the pony responds to being saved by the very princess he's been hunting.

Wow, this is fantastic. Wondering why they are trying to kill her though.

Awesome potential for awesomeness here. Keep it going!

Nice setup. Keep up the good work

6410267 Well it's not like they can just tell her to pull over, and make her do it, and manually turn off the weapons her ship has...

This is an interesting concept. I'm excited to start reading it but as to why I'm commenting before I started reading it?

Well you were offline and wasn't you would see it before it fell. Congratulations.

There is good stories, and then there are amazing stories. This is most definitely one of the amazing stories.

i love it, it leaves me wanting more and wanting to know more! i hope you continue with this!

OH HI i had this in my read later for ages i was starting to think you forgot this story

I have to say, I absolutely love the tone you develop through the story. Melancholic at times, bittersweet without being overbearing, and with a tearful joy during the memories, but always with a determination to go forward and to get to a new and brighter tomorrow. I also love how much characterization you get from so few words, showing things that I've seen people take entire books to do.

I can't tell you enough how much I love this story. Keep writing, you definitely have the chops to go far.

ooo Good chapter, thank you for continuing.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm not the fastest of writers, but this definitely isn't a story I'd just abandon.

...Well.

+ for Pony SF.
= for mysteries.

OH god, oh god oh god. Just had a thought: What if they're in a zones universe?! I hope Twi has a ramscoop in the waiting...

+ for harder SF than imagined.
+ for I'm already worrying about the characters, which I don't normally do. Good job.

Not that I've caught up I can comment properly.

Freaking Awesome! Very interested to see where this goes and even more interested to see how this story evolves when the game comes out on June 21st.

Keeping it up:moustache:

Amazing, just absolutely amazing. The tone you give off while we follow along on her journey just keeps me coming back for more. I'm glad I found this now, as the even the wait adds to the atmosphere of this. I'll await the next installment of this grand experience.

I have not played No Man's Sky. But you have a story that has potential for an epic story here and you've got a fantastic beginning, hope to read more.

Really enjoyed this. I hope you continue it someday.

So, Luna was trying to find out Twilight's plans?

magical field density increases hyperbolically as you approach the center of the galaxy. My current theory is that there’s an unimaginably large reservoir of manic just waiting for us there.

Yeah, but what if the actually transcendent life is much further out and heading towards the core first disables FTL travel and then disables THINKING?!

7475883 I believe that she just did. It was a dream. Luna just made the interview up to find out Twilight's plan. But now thanks to that star that Twilight dove into, Luna might not have enough time to mobilize a fleet.

I'm really enjoying this, please keep writing.

Oh man that was dicey. Glad to see this up and running again for a moment. It was interesting when Luna came into Twilight's dream, that's gonna jar her for a bit.

Sitting up in a stationary orbit, Caballus Station One was the de facto capitol of the entire Federation.

That should be "capital" I think; as it isn't used in a sense of a single bulding like "The Capitol" but of a "capital city".

Nitpick

We, sentient creatures originating from the planet Caballus, are the only intelligent beings that I know of.

Sapient (thinking; like in "Homo sapiens")
as any-thing/being/animal with any kind of a brain is sentient (feeling ex. pain).

Great story, I'm puting it in my favs.
Looking forward to more (hopefully) soon!

I was quite happy to see this at this time. I haven't played the game a ton yet but I like it.

This should be continued despite the game issues.
I absolutely love the plot you have going on here and it has me completely enthralled.
Also you used the word "Ansible"
I haven't heard that word since I read the whole Enders game series what must be 6 years ago now.
The nostalgia is freaking me the fuck out.

7551744 Well, the Oobii managed to crash on a world where in about 100 years they could at least get back to spaceflight...

But when she returns… oh, her prey will pay.”

I have never seen it phrased this way before. I like it. I like it alot! :trollestia:

A shame. I really enjoyed reading this.

Added to my notifications. If it ever updates again, I'll start reading it.
