6577753 Would you kindly read chapter three and see if you can still repeat that statement?
And just so you know, I didn't hand the characters the "idiot ball", nor am I pulling this reveal out of nowhere. I ran the entire premise and plotline by Rated Ponystar himself before writing it out. Sometime the narrative needs to lie to make the scenario more believable... remember how you thought Snape was the villain in Harry Potter?
6647099 No it's because all his comments amounted to was "I hope twilight gets beat up by the elements" or "did anybody else want to punch twilight?"
I'm not opposed to constructive criticism. But if you're going to leave a negative comment, have the decency to be descriptive about it. Derpsby's comment made it seem like all he did was skim over the chapters and not read it thoroughly.
6647702 I was joking. It's good to know the reasoning because a lot of the time when people see comments deleted, it makes it seem like you can't take criticism. Keep up the good work
6631706 I'm not EXACTLY rooting for Twilight the Tyrant, either, but...
I'm looking forward to the plans of the Blueblood patriarch going utterly and completely fubar, the damn hypocrite with his own alicorn foal he intended to raise as he sees fit, as what HE deems should be a princess, even basically driving mad and sacrificing his eldest son for this idiotic assassination attempt.
6647702 I did hint at the reasons I felt this way.
For example: Twilight made clear in this chapter that she doesn't really care about what her friends think about her plans.
"You don't have to." Twilight responded as she turned turned to face the five mares. "They just need to fear my wrath, and I've instilled more than enough fear to make sure they think twice before assuming I'll just lay down and die for them.”
That's a great way for the Princess of Friendship to behave. She pretty much gave her friends every reason to be wary right there.
Furthermore, her plan hinges on scaring everypony who might oppose her into submission by threatening them with retribution against their families. No, she didn't kill them in truth (though I'm not sure I buy her words about how they'll all be living better after having been uprooted and declared dead to the world), but the general populace doesn't know that. She thinks she'll scare her enemies, I think she'll create more enemies than she had before because she's acting like a tyrant.
Most of it is an act, but again, most ponies don't know. And again, what she did was distasteful regardless.
That's why I'm not on her side. Am I allowed not to be now? Or will this comment also be deleted?
though I'm not sure I buy her words about how they'll all be living better after having been uprooted and declared dead to the world)
Considering that in Aftermath of a Fallen Star, school officials let a foal be bullied to the point of suicide for being related to someone involved with the plot, I think they are better off this way.

She just told her friends exactly what's going on, also you seem to be ignoring the fact that HER. SON. WAS. KILLED. Can you really say she has no right to be pissed?
No, she didn't kill them in truth (though I'm not sure I buy her words about how they'll all be living better after having been uprooted and declared dead to the world),
Did you even READ the story this one was based on?! This happens to Gladius Stride and Regal, who were the brother and nephew of two of the conspirators respectively, while Gladius eventually gets better treatment from Celestia, Regal is constantly harassed and bullied to the point where he commits suicide.

I'm not say you're not allowed, but your reasons barely make sense, again: HER SON WAS KILLED. There's no nice way to deal with this, and if you can think of a better way for her to deal with her enemies aside from the standard execution method then kindly write it out on your own story, this is the route my story is going and I to have no intention of changing it.
As Twilight calmed herself, she fingers of pondering over the same question… then what? She had to come here wanting justice for her son's death... but what came after that?
... but these ponies are nothing like what you base before
In the first sentence, I think you messed up a bit, but I'm not entirely sure how. I think Twilight was supposed to be pondering the question, but I'm almost certain fingers have no part in that sentence.
As for the second sentence, pretty sure you meant "faced" instead of "base".
Sorry to be a grammar nazi here, but those are pretty bad.
Regardless, interesting story. Twilight's survival is hopefully making the masterminds of the conspiracy shit their pants.
I'm on Team Twilight here. Put in the same position, I would do exactly what she's doing. Long live the Twilight Empire. Good thing Sunset's getting involved, cause I know for a fact that she and Spike were very close when she was reformed.
"Do talk to us as if we were some naive foal!" Luna shouted before calming herself. "Do you not see how your actions are affecting not just your image, but me and my sister's?! Ponies are branding you as a tyrant, and and my sister are merely seen as your "enablers"!"

Luna explained, I had already sent one of my own to infiltrate their little organization and stop them from within, I just didn't realize how quickly they intended to act... or the their leader was aware of my attempts and by the time I was made aware it was too late..." As she finished she looked down at the floor, ashamed that despite all of her spies and connections, she failed to realize her contacts had been found out until it was too late… and an innocent child paid the price for that.

It was at the point where she turned away, directing her attention to Canterlot. "I understand that you are upset with me, I truly am. I know that I should have been more careful while keeping tabs on the organization... but these ponies are nothing like what you base before. They are not only very crafty, but they have been around for longer than you could possibly imagine, even before I had returned from my banishment."

8995998 I agree ... but I just hope it is Alicorn Sunset. But yes, Sunset Shimmer would raze Canterlot getting to those who hurt her little buddy.
"Besides, even if I had simply executed the guilty ones the families would still be suffering in some way or another. Think about it; they would forever be associated with the one who murdered a Princess's son. Ponies would persecute them and treat them as criminals even if they weren't the ones who committed the crime, even if they had nothing to do with it the fact that they are related to the one who was guilty would be more than enough for them to treat them like criminals."

Just like that colt; Cheerilee tried to save, because he was constantly being bullied simply because his Uncle was one of the nobles who plotter Twilight's assassination in the canon version.
What!!!! Oh boy! What does that mirror have to do with Twilights plan?
6627045 So much... oh so much... but that will remain a secret... for now.
that was clever
Oh damn, Sunset Shimmer joining the party?! All of my "YES"!
Whelp Sunset if closer with Twilight than any other equestrian right now, so we know where her loyalty lies.

Hoh? What did I write that was so objectionable as to delete it?
Don't tell me it was just because I'm not rooting for Twilight here..?
6631706 It mainly feels like you didn't even read the chapters at all.
6631706 probably because you had an opinion and everybody knows you can't have an opinion on the Internet

This is going to backfire big time isn't it?

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say Celestia would not be okay with Twilight doing this.
And just because her son was killed doesn't give her free reign to do whatever she wants.
Let's be honest suckers. If the same thing happened to you and you had Twilight's power: Wouldn't you do at least something similar?
The nice truth is, none of us can answer that until we're thrown in a situation like this.
6649866 I just hope whatever u have plan for the blueblood family and there allies is 5 times more brutal than those traitor guards.
It's pretty obvious Twilight's snapped. Someone needs to put their hoof down with her.

makes sense, remember what happened to Regal?
Do you mean "then I, in my good conscience, can't be your friend?
I assume this is before Tirek attacked?
You mean "Don't talk to us"
Also, there should be more commas. For example, you have
When it should be "I'm a Princess, am I not?"
