Just a student trying to write when I'm not studying.

This story is a sequel to Longing for a Princess

Ambivalence befalls Trixie soon after her proposal to Twilight Sparkle. Such thoughts and feelings run circles in her head with no answers in sight, and Twilight's plans for the day may only come to worsen her mental struggle.

So, this was sitting there half finished for some time. Hope it's decent. Enjoy! Please comment, if you liked it or not. I'd love to hear what you think!

Very sad, I liked reading about Trixie as she struggled like this. It felt very real.

She seems so unhappy with her life, but she's found a tether in her relationship with Twilight that she can't bring herself to think of as a mistake.

I'd like to see how this plays out in the long run, and I'd like to read about how Twilight views their relationship and what she thinks about Trixie's struggles.

I need to reread the prequel to this story. XDDDDD

I'm so excited to get on reading this soon! :rainbowkiss: I know it sure will be a great work

I liked this quite alot, though I have to admit to the ending seeming more like the ending to a chapter, and not to the entire story. Trixie's struggle and realizing how little of her own identity she has was very interesting. Not that fond of her 'solution' of getting drunk, kinda expected her to have gone out to do something to remind herself of who she was, or something. But meh, it was amusing.

Well, that was anticlimactic. Feels like the ending of a chapter rather than a story

While the sentiment was great, the delivery felt awkward. Lot's of little grammar mistakes that need to be fixed that threw off what might well have been a great fic.

Yay! A sequel! I did enjoy this, your usage of Shining was clever. I usually forget he exsists. Whoops. Anyway, I do agree with others that, all though very good, I do feel as if this is the end of a chapter. Lots of unanswered questions. Regardless, I look forward to your next piece, be it a continuation of this or another new story.

I loved this sequel and the story it follows, you have the character's personalities more spot on than any other story I've read, and would love to read any more you might write on this matter. It helps that the thesis and antithesis of twilight/trixie is perhaps the most believable and you've got it spot on.

Gah, another non-ending? I don't get it. Trixie grows a little but none of the problems set up get resolved. It's more frustrating then enjoyable.

Trixie's character struggle in this fic really hits home, with her feelings of irrelevance to the world as she doesn't even perform anymore, especially next to Princess Twilight's roles. It's a good thing she doesn't even consider Twilight's presumed immortality, or else she'll fade into history as Princess Twilight's (possibly first) spouse in later years.

Of course, her taking to drink to get over her issues seems like a recurring issue given the fiction this is a sequel to, and one would expect her to have found a little bit better way to cope. Shiny is pretty understanding, but at the same time he's right in saying he really doesn't understand where Trixie is coming from, given he was a Captain of the Guard even before marrying Cadance and only later becoming a Prince of a separate fiefdom.

That said, this does feel like it left off for yet another sequel given the abrupt conclusion.

One nitpick that I have is: no Spike along? Given this is where Twilight and Trixie are gonna announce their marriage to Twilight's parents, one would at least expect Spike would be coming along.

Is there anything after this?

Really good story

This feels like an ending of a chapter rather than a story. I'm not saying it's bad, it's really good, absolutely magnificent, in fact! The characters, the plot and pacing are superb! It's just, it doesn't feel like an end of a story you know, it feels like it could use a few more chapters, to feel more... complete.
