It's so nice to be here with such nice people. My goal, here, is to write and give life to my stories. I hope you all have great days/nights :D

E

Cordial Lilly has an enzyme disorder, called Porphyria, which prevents her from being in the sunlight. After multiple hospital visits, being forced to leave school, and losing all of her friends, she feels like all is lost for her. But then, after making late night visits to the library, she befriends the local princess, Princess Twilight. With time, Cordial Lilly realizes just how far Princess Twilight is willing to go to take care of her friends.

NOTE: I wrote this story in hopes to better recognize the rare disorder Porphyria. This is a real problem and, though rare, comes in multiple cases and intensities. With a balanced diet of carbohydrates and carefully monitored steps, these people could possibly get the chance to live normal lives. My best wishes go out to anyone and everyone who is or knows a person with Porphyria. For more information on Porphyria, what it does, and what we can do to help, visit the American Porphyria Foundation webpage ( http://www.porphyriafoundation.com/about-porphyria )

Awwww it so happy. I need to like this more!

5908864  Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.

Let me start by saying as an attempt to draw attention to Porphyria it is pretty decent and i applaud work that tries to benefit a worthy cause. As an actual story however, this doesn't do much for me because it is all telling. We never get to see any of the situations that the character goes through or get into her head and feel what she feels because it is being told to us like it is some kind of interview without the benefit of seeing/ hearing her emotions as she is recounting theses events. Lets compare this to say, Bouts of Forgetful Artistic Destruction where we do get into the characters head and can't help but to feel for her even though she is not portrayed as being particularly sympathetic. Compared to that this story feels sterile and it is hard to make an emotional connection to the main character.

5908984 I can see where you are coming from in that statement. I will admit, I was predominately focused on bringing awareness to Porphyria more that I was the actual story. I did have alternate rough drafts to how I went about this and I had one that was way better than this but I felt it brought more attention to the story that the actual disorder. Though my writing reputation might be at stake for it, I just went with the second best. At a later time, I could add the alternate to this so that people could read both. But I appreciate you taking your time to read it and putting in your two-cents. Thank you!
