A series of events that will introduce the various factions and their involvement in the events and outcomes of the war. From the forming of each faction to the humble beginnings of great heroes as well as great and dark secrets that work in the background.
In this saga, a herald of the Queen mother has arrived to deliver a message to the royal princesses and to investigate the well-being of Equestria in the last millennia of her absence. However after the changeling incident Canterlot is in a state of high alert and no pony takes kindly to armed vagabonds merely waltzing towards the royal keep.

there is prelude- events that show you the back story and origin stories of important changes in characters from the canon MLP to the fanon. for example, unmarked soldier is about the key character "ceres" ending the princesshood of luna and celestia. igniting the debate of who will rise to become the official queen of equestria, the events of which will change their personalities and attitudes, naturally changing the status quo of equestrian politics.
there is prologue-the actual events of the beginning of the war. from the times of it all escalating towards the forming of the new lunar republic, the solar empire and the fall of canterlot. and the early days of the war itself before everypony evolves into relying on the day and night and being weakened by their opposites.
then theres the war for equestria-the modern day events. This is the era I would want for everypony in this group to write about, until I've fully written the canon events of the two previous eras. description of the setting of this is in the related group "War for Equestria"

and with the republic and empire I only got the following.
Luna's forces are mostly technological and use indirect conflict because most of her forces were earth ponies that wanted to be free from the tyranny of the ruling higher classes. plus their colour scheme in coats are blues, purples, blacks and browns. things generally seen as "cold" colours.
While celestia's forces are strong in a unicorn population. hence they use alot of magic and plow straight into the battle;
Not pure magic or technology of course. they just have more strength in one or the other.

There you have it. The reason the two princesses have nephews and nieces like prince Blueblood and Cadence has now been revealed. It is not because the alicorns themselves had children, but because the queen mother's parents were once mortal ponies.
