Expand garand. This is good and too damn short!

Read up on my future plans here. :3

That was actually kinda interesting. Between the unusual locale and the outright FiM reference, you've actually found a way to wring something original out of the My Little Dashie cliché. Not too shabby. It'll be interesting to see where you go with this.

Thanks. I really didn't want to do another MLD rehash and the original idea I had for my take on "My Little Celestia" used the human protagonist recounting the story in first person to Princess Luna as a framing device. Right now, I liked doing snapshots of Little Celestia and Zhiyang's life more than a straight-up plot of MLD.

So, keep an eye out for future entries. =x

this is pretty good

This was a really interesting take on the prompt. I can honestly say that I haven't read something in this format before, but I think it works pretty well. I'm still smiling.

Have you read Shinzakura's All-American Girl, at least chapter 1?

It's a lot more forceful than what happens here, mainly due to DJ's personality and backstory but it's a big inspiration of the idea that eventually became this current entry. :3

It's getting expanded but not in this story. I've pretty much hit all the points I wanted to hit for this story, barring some touching of the flashback scenes. A sequel similar to my Anthology of Chaos and Harmony is in the works and will touching on the points you've mention. It should be up next week or after the contest, depending whether the judges are okay with it (it should be but I wanna be sure first).

Thanks. Good luck with yours too! :3

In Between's rewrite is going so slowly though... D:

I wrote a review of this story in my latest edition of TD Hates Everything Read It Now reviews. It can be found here.

Why did you have to end this there? D: There's so much you could do with this! (Also, I once had a similar idea and I think you've done it far better!)

Thanks! Like I said to monokeras above, I'm continuing the story as a collection of snapshot of Celestia's life. Originally, I wanted to finish it by uh, last month but writing ran into problems and my writing is getting mired with other ideas competing for writing time. So yeah, the story is coming in the future but it'll be taking a while. D:

So, I'm curious about your idea on My Little Celestia, we can move this to the PMs, if you want to share. =x

Yeeeeeees.

FYI, if you wanted to know the idea of mine I was talking about, it was just a reverse HiE, with a pony being raised in a human family and then having to make a decision about which world she belongs in. It was going to be very teen-fic, with a lot of focus on identity and social groups, and certain to get me all the views, you understand but it's not like I'm ever gonna write it anyway, so I'll let you continue. :)

I don't mind seeing some teen/society choice/conflict things going on if the teen in question wasn't a whiny and angsty brat. It might even be a nice commentary on American society (or substitute "American" with your own country). Color me interested.

certain to get me all the views, you understand

And hookers and crack too. :V

Nice piece. The only thing I didn't like was the ending, as I dislike the mention of the TV show in stories with humans.

Thanks!

And sad to hear that, glad you enjoyed the rest of the story.
